Question about Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 / 1.66 GHz processor ( mobile ) (S6161968) PC Desktop
I have a dell latitude d820 series laptop with a t5500 1.6ghz duo core processor. the mother board is able to run at 1.6 ghz but the bio is reading that it is running at it's lowest setting which is 1.0 ghz. there are no changeable settings in the bios, so I would like to know how to get the machine clocked up to full speed. Is there a jumper setting or something?
Turn off SPEED STEP in the BIOS. The system automatically throttles the CPU to lower speeds until there is a demand for more power
