Question about Frigidaire Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Dryer will not stop running

My frigidaire affinity electric front loader dryer will dry, the timer will count down, and at the end of the cycle the heat will strop but the machine will continue to tumble and run. I can not get it to stop running unless I unplug it from the outlet. When I'm ready to use it again I plun it back in and it immediately starts tumbliing. I press the cycle I want and the heat starts. When the timer reaches zero and the cyclce is done the heat turns off but the machine contines to tumble so I have to unplug it.

Your machine may have a feature called wrinkle guard or wrinkle shield, which basically keeps tumbling the clothes without heat to prevent wrinkles from setting in. Turn that feature off and see if that does the trick.

My frigidair affinity dryer wont start it just beeps

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FASE7073NW, will not start and just beeps. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best regards-

Kenmore 110.60812990 will not stop

if it's not advacing in time dry you have a bad timer, that timer should count down no matter what the dryer is doing,if you have it in auto then it could be no heat, when it's in auto or more or less cycle the heat comes on and the timer won't move until the heat shuts down, when the heat is off timer advances, when the heat starts the timer stops,it will do this until the clothes are dry and then timer will shut off but in timed cycle, timer isn't counting down get a new timer.

Frigidaire Affinity AEQ6700FSO electric dryer does not heat, then shuts off within 10 minutes.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.

My Frigidaire Affinity electric dryer will not start. Its only just over 2 years old. the timer counts down but the drum will not turn nor is there any heat. I've tried jumping the dryer but it still will...

Listen, when you push the start button to hear a low hum, if you do hear this it maybe that your belt is broken. This is an involved job but can be done if you are handy.

Intermittently Drying Problems, Electrical?

It could possibly be electrical, check for 240V at the supply side. The only other possibility could be plugged dryer venting, although it would be unusual for it to cause only intermittent problems. The reason the timer would stop turning (mechanical timer) or counting down (digital display), is because on any Auto-dry, (ones that use the moisture sensor) the dryness of the clothing dictates when the timer should count down or advance. Check for good airflow from the outside exhaust point, if that's ok, I would be possibly looking at the outlet for possible loose contact, look at the dryer cord prongs and see if there are dark marks on them, as this may point to a sloppy outlet causing arcing.

LED display on dryer reads AD???

All this is doing is letting you know that the Auto dry sensors are kicked in and checking to see how dry the clothing is.
