Question about RCA TH1011 MP3 Player
I have an RCA TH1011 Mp3 player. it worked for about 3 months then when i added more songs the computer told me i had to reformat the mp3 player to make it work with windows 7. so i did. and it linked up to the computer and i added my music to it. now it wont work right as a stand alone divice, it just kinda acts like a storage device.
i can play the mp3 files from the device on the computer, but not from the device itself, it just says "no files",
I suspect the new format is not compatible with at of the player. The manual says the the player should only be formatted to "FAT" . If it has been formatted to FAT32 or any other FAT. Then it will only work as a hard disc. You should change it back. However the manual does say that changing it over (frequently) can cause permanent damage to the unit.
As this seems to have been designed to work with Windows 98, or XP you might be able to ask the Windows 7 Computer to treat it as that.
