Hi,
The color problem could be caused due block or faulty cartridges. Use the following steps to clean the print nozzles.

  1. 1 Turn on the printer.
  2. Step 2 Click Start > Control Panel > Printers > Other Hardware > Printers and Faxes. This opens a Printers and Faxes window.
  3. Step 3 Click to select the PIXMA iP4200 icon. Click "File" in the menu bar and click "Properties" in the drop-down menu. This opens the Properties dialog box.
  4. Step 4 Click the "Maintenance" tab, then click the "Deep Cleaning" button.
  5. Step 5 Select the ink group for which you want deep cleaning, then click "Execute." This opens a confirmation prompt. Click "OK" in the confirmation prompt to start the deep-cleaning process.

Unwanted colour lines on prints

It may be time for a new printer. Colored lines are often an indicator that the printhead is worn out. Dark smudges on the back of the print are likely just a need for cleaning the inside.

When we print a coloured picture, dark colours are orangy red. Can we adjust anything to solve this problem?

If there are no issues with the head it is possible to correct the tint inthe printer. Open printer properties and select the tint settings.
make a test print after you have set and see if there is any change.
If no there can be issues with the head or the ink colours.

The printer driver must be set to print text with the K resin panel.
If the text is part of a bitmap image and not a true-type font then it will print from the coloured panels and be dark grey.
To create the correct green on the card you need to change the RGB values so it prints correctly but look wrong on the badge design program. Even different printers print the same colour differently.

Dear friend, your Black Ink Cartridge is Empty thats why your printer is using the Colour Cartridge to produce the Black Colour. This is the reason you are having Dark Reddish Brown colour instead of Black.

Are you trying to print
1). photgraphs in colour
2). Photographs in B&W
or
2). plain text
In canon iP4000, you can do a Nozzle check by going to the maintenance.

Go to print anything from a word file or an excel file > in the print box > go to Properties> go to Maintenance.
Here you can do Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Print head Alignment and Nozzle check.

If your Nozzle check matches the check pattern(this you will find once the Nozzle Check gives a print), then it possible that either the right paper is not put in or your master could be very dark. Alternatively you could reduce the print setting to Standard...

Let me know if the above solves your problem..if not we can do some more trouble shooting.
