It sounds like your phone is starting in flash mode,
you will need to download motorola phone tools and hook up your phone to your computer with a usb cable.then reload your phone,I hope this helps

Hi, my htc g1 is stuck in "Clockworkmod recovery v2.5.0.1" i cant do anything if i try to reboot my phone it stays at the g1 screen for hours... do you know what is wrong?

late response im sure, but it sounds like you tried to install either a bad rom (ie wasnt made for the g1/improperly packaged) or it was rom that was corrupted in download. i would wipe data/cache, then try to install it again. if that doesnt work, just get yourself a sd card adapter pop it in your computer, download the firmware again, then reinstall with clockworkmod

G1: Well I cut my phone and the G1 logo appeared then ...

YOU MAY NEED A NEW "FLEX CABLE" OR LCD..THE FLEX CABLE HOLDS THE LCD TO THE BOARD AND ESPECIALLY WITH SLIDE PHONES LIKE THE G1 THEY SOMETIMES COME LOOSE OR GO BAD OVERTIME FROM SLIDING THE PHONE UP AND DOWN TO ACCESS KEYBOARD. CHECK YOUR AREA FOR A TECH.

MY G1 KEEP SAYING INSERT THE SD CARD AND I HAVE ONE IN THERE ALREADY.

Does the card "read" in a computer, or other phone? There the steps to try first, Also make sure its of a capacity the G1 supports, if the card does read in another device then your phone needs looking at, maybe try a freinds card in your phone? also if your card doesnt read in other devices, then your card looks like it is faulty.

How do I upload pictues from my g1 onto my computer

First, connect your G1 to your computer using the USB cable, and when the notification comes up on your phone asking whether you want to mount, click mount. Then in 'My Computer' a new drive should come up i.e. F:/Drive and that is your G1. After this you can copy and paste any pictures you want to your computer.

How to add music to my g1

(1) Plub usb cable into G1 and computer. You should get a usb icon in the notification area of the G1; (2) Pull down the notification with your finger; (3) Select "Usb Connected" message; (4) Select "Mount" ; (4) On your computer, right click "Start", then click "Explore"; (5) Select the song(s) from where you keep your music, and select "copy"; (6) Go back to the left folders pane and click on the drive labelled "Removable Disk"; (7) Open the Music Folder; (8) then paste the songs there.

There are other ways to get from the computer to the G1, but this is the one I use. Hope that helps.

G1 SD

if reemoving and reinserting the card doesnt help, youll need to have it reformatted....

do this by connecting your phone to the pc and opening your MY COMPUTER icon > right click REMOVABLE STORAGE/DISK > select FORMAT

**if your computer says something like 'no disk available' try disconnecting the device and select MENU > SETTINGS > SD CARD AND PHONE STORAGE > make sure the check bos for 'USE FOR USB STORAGE' is checked****

after that, set the 'file systems' as FAT32 > select START > read the warning > press OK > once complete, disconnect from the pc and try again!

IF that doesnt work, try to test the sd card in another phone to see if the sd card itself is the problem. if you still have the issue but the sd card works, go ahead and reset the phone.

MENU > SETTINGS > SD CARD AND PHONE STORAGE > FACTORY DATA RESET > RESET PHONE > ERASE EVERYTHING
