Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Thanks for using FixYa. Printer flashing power button blinks to communicate that the Printer is facing an issue and required to be look into. It may blink due to these---
1. If it is blinking press it to be on print ready mode.
2. There might be a small piece of paper jammed or some small foreign object stuck in the printing path. Open the lid of the printer and check for these and then close again.
3. It may be a warning for lower ink level and cartridge(s) is/are required to be replaced.
4. There might be an error in printing the file. Please check the network or printer port connection and settings.
You’ll need to open the printer cover and check if the carrier is moving to the center as power light might be blinking because the printer carrier is not moving. Open the printer cover again if it won’t move to the center then pull the white cable. After moving the carrier to the center, take the cartridges out. Close the cover and open it. Check if it will move. If in case the carrier did not move to the center, unplug the black box behind the printer. Put the cartridges back in and print a test page and see the results.
If still the issue is not resolved, then you’ll need to un-install and re-install the printer drivers to resolve the issue. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
