Where can I get my Sansa 250 repaired? It is over a year old and I can get no help from Sansa. The left navigational key was stuck and when I tried to pry it out, it popped out. Now I can not get the key back in, nor will the player stay on. The blue light comes on, but rhere is nothing on the screen.

Mp3 repair services are available in very limited areas, like Philadelphia - check your local yellow pages. Places such as Best Buy can repair them, but the repair costs more than a replacement player.

The power button is also the Menu button - click and release once while the player is on, and see if it gets you back to the main menu. Or press the left arrow key and see if it will get you back to hte previous menu.

E250 How do i downGrade

Recovery mode:
first, Create a blank file with filename "sansa.fmt", put the player to recovery mode this way = you have to enable the hold key then plug it to your computer while holding the record button. you may release it after you see 'welcome the recovery mode'.

Then drag-drop this file, the file will tell the device to format itself after you unplug it

Hope this help, if so please leave rating

Deleting individual songs

Connect the Sansa to the computer.
On the computer, Go into Start --> all Programs --> Windows Media Player
When Windows Media Player is open, make sure you have version 10 or 11.
Find the icon of your Sansa on the left-hand side - click the plus sign next to the Sansa
Click on the songs folder
Click on a song name
Hit "delete" on your keyboard
The song is erased.

For instructions WITH pictures, go to www.microsoft.com and enter "Windows Media Player help" as your search term

Broken screen

Call Sansa to get THEIR price. View eBay to find a reasonable price. It is definitely NOT cost-effective to repair it. Ask your local Geek Squad if they are willing - probably no - minimum $250. If you live in Philadelphia or another major metro, see if they have Mp3 repair servicemen - most places do not because the actual builders/info is in Korean, Japanese, etc, and b/c it is less expensive to replace than to repair.

Sansa 250 - Having problems downloading music?

You could try opening the folder(s) with your saved music and highlight all the ones you want to transfer to your mp3 player and then right click on one of the highlighted files, left click on Copy, then go to My Computer > Sansa e250 mp3 player should be listed in there, double click on it, then right click in a open white area and left click Paste. It should copy the music right to your player. You could also try using Rhapsody and import your music into it. I use Rhapsody for transferring music to my e250 Sansa mp3 player.
