Question about Sony RDR-VX555
I have been trying to dub from VHS to DVD Sony and TDK brand DVD's and I follow the simple1,2,3 steps as far as insert both disks press dub and done. wait for 2 hours and when the tape in done ok all is done. Well the dvd only seems to play in the SONY RDR VX555 from where it was recorded. MY Apple comp doesn't recognize it nor the XBOX 360 or other dvd players we have arond the house. Is there something wrong. Or it it really only going to play in the RDR VX555?
Had the same problem. I have the Sony RDR VX560 which I presume is similiar. You left out one step after dubbing. You need to "Finalize" in order to play the DVD in other equipment. See System menue or read the Operating Instructions. It would probably been appropriate for Sony to put a footnote in the dubbing instructions. Oh well.

Sounds like the DVD is not finalizing or not doing so properly. Check your setup options...
