Printer does not print/ink residue in printheads cleaning should i troubleshoot please

The 1220c is old technology. Sometimes you can remove the cleaning compartment, by disassembling the printer, and thoroughly clean it with plain water and it will start working. This is just a temporary fix though and it will need to be replaced soon.

The printer HP920c ink leaks

The Cleaning station is filled with ink AND the cartridge is broken, this can be caused by using a [poorly?] refilled cartridge.
To solve this you have to disassemble the printer and clean the cleaning station, replace the absorbent pad and replace the ink cartridge.

Printer not ataking paper and ink leaks

Your printer pickup rollers have probably become slick from usage and ink spills. I work on these type problems all the time - inkjet printers are simply as nasty as they come in terms of getting dirty from ink waste. It needs to be disassembled and cleaned, and the pickup rollers cleaned and reconditioned with a rubber restorative. I would probably take it to a reputable, reasonable repair shop.
