Only allows "print to file" will not allow printer to print.
I recently bought a new computer with windows vist. I hooked up my konica minolta pagepro 1350W. But it will only open print to file window. Box is not checked. I have reloaded drives twice. Will still only let print to file option

When there aren't new drivers the best thing I've found is a free download of VMware for virtual machine. It allows you to run windows vista or XP in a seperate window just like a program. Once you are in virtual XP or Vista you can use those drivers for your printers.
put the hammer down and step away from the printer lol. The problem you are having is directly related to the computer not "seeing" or recognizing the the printer. Sure you installed the software and drivers probably not the right ones. With Vista you have to use Vista specific drivers.
Go to printer faxes check and it might change the default setting and it might default Microsoft Office Document Image Writer. When you print make sure that you are printing to a right printer you can select the printer of your choice by clicking the down arrow. If you select the right printer and it did not print I suggest that uninstall the print driver to the control panel, add or remove and install a new printer driver. make sure set as a default.
