Frigidaire Gallery Side by Side - Fridge not cooling

I have a Frigidaire Gallery, side by side, 26 CF.

The Freezer appears to be working, but the fridge is not cooling. No ice or frost build up anywhere to be found. Unplugged for about 15 min. then plugged back in...nothing, no sound from anything, no fan or compressor sound. All lights appear to be working, I have pulled lower toe kick and rear (back) bottom, and vacuumed good. There was a lot of dust, and "fuzz".

What do I need to do to Fix, to make fridge cool???

I have a side by side, the freeze side works great but after awhile the fridge gets warm. If I turn it off for awhile then it will cool again.
Can you tell me what the problem is?
Thank you.

Locate the defrost timer and rotate the dial a small amount clockwise. If the compressor starts the timer should be replaced. If the compressor does not start check the temperature control. It may be bad, if it is bad try jumpering the thermostat wires. If it starts and runs the thermostat is bad. Replace the thermostat.

Hotpoint Future fridge freezer - freezer working well but top of the back of the fridge has a large build up of ice ??? And doesn't appear to be keeping the food cold enough

here are lots of things that can cause cooling problems. One of the most common causes of poor cooling in a frost free refrigerator is a defrost system failure. In such a case one or the other compartment may appear to be keeping proper temperature but that too may change in a short period of time. The fridge compartment's temperature rise is usually (but not always) the first to be noticed. Frost" and "Ice"
There is a difference between "frost" (a white, snow-like substance) and "ice" (usually clear and solid). When referring to what is seen during an inspection, please keep this distinction in mind as the possible causes for each are often very different. The Defrost System
Inspecting the (usually rear) wall of the freezer compartment for a frost build up is necessary. (In the case of many GE top freezer models, check the freezer's bottom panel.) If there is a frost coating on it, it is often a sign of excessive frosting beneath it. Sometimes however the evaporator cover panel will actually need to be removed (see the illustration below) before an excessive frost build will visible.
The refrigeration system's evaporator (cooling) coil is usually in the freezer compartment. This evaporator will periodically frost over and have to be defrosted by means of a heating system. When the defrost heating system fails, the frost can accumulate to such a degree that airflow throughout the appliance is hampered. There may be just enough air circulation to cool the freezer section but that will eventually stop too.

Freezer ices up and fridge part warm, timer changed worked well for 2 weeks model frt 163ag no frost fridge

Hello Claire Trancoso - If the refrigeration side is the one with the issue, you need to check the damper door/switch that is between both doors. In side by side units this damper controls the cool air from the freezer to come over to the refrigeration side to cool it. Contact a professional technician to diagnose if the unit has a floating restriction, an issue with the evaporator fan or a possible air leak.

The freezer section of the fridge works but the regular side is not cooling sufficient enough to keep the food from perishing quickly

Possible that the vent is getting choked wwith frost and so the fan is not able to blown well tothe fridge to keep the temperature up.
So the possible failure of the defrost timer / heater or the thermostat is possible which might make the compressor to keep running and the frost to build up.

Side by side fridge not cooling, not making ice

if it seems like the evaporator is getting cold then your sealed system should appear to be ok. you need the evap fan to transfer cold air into fresh food section. if not turning u need to replace fan motor. make sure your not getting to much frost build up on the evap.

Help me understand better. Frost build up in the freezer section on side by side? If so than you have a defrost heater problem or and, defrost themostat.

The Frigidaire Gallery freezer has ice build up restricting air flow

#1. DEFROST TIMER stuck or defective. Not allowing DEFROST CYCLE to occur. Most probable.
#2. THERMOSTAT (cold control) has gone bad.
#3. CIRCULATING FAN. It pulls air from the FREEZER side into the REFRIGERATED side.
#4. and lowest in probability. LOW (leaking) coolant charge.
