Kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during spin during cycle

My kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during the spin cycles. I took it apart a few months ago and could not see anything wrong or broken. Put it back together and it did not shake anymore, until last week. I took it all apart again, saw nothing wrong again, no springs missing or broken, etc.... I put it back together. It still shakes and walks across the room wildly during the spin. It is quite level. I literally have to sit on top to keep it from moving around. I noticed that the tub moves very easily from side to side and front to back by hand, but it may have always been that way. It doesn't shake when the tub is empty spinning, but with a few items or a full tub, it shakes wildly. It is a model 110.92272100 serial #CC0885890. Suggestions? Thanks.

I have a maytag and its spinning wildly and the small clear hose internally pops off and has flooded my laundry room. The basket can be moved very easily when its not on...any suggestions?

About a week ago the machine got real loud during the spinning cycle then today it was spinning and the tub started bouncing of the side of the machine and all the springs are still attached

I have the same kenmore and have experience this before. It is unbalanced. Get a spirit level to check for balance. To rebalance, empty the washer (so it's not heavy), lean over the washer and grab the back, tilt it forward and the auto balancing legs should reposition themselves. Re-check for balance using the spirit level. If still out, adjust the front feet of the washer by screwing the legs up or down (using a wrench). This will cure the problem (unless you have a very unbalanced load of towels for instance). Good luck

Why is Maytag Centennial 3.2 cu. ft. SuperSize Capacity Plus Top Load Washer shaking during spin cycle

check to make sure it is sitting level on the floor and one leg adjuster hasnt backed in making it shake. But even when you stick cloths in evenly they can bunch up during cycles.

Kenmore Series 70 has musty smell and sounds like water inside

The water will always be in there. It is in between the basket and the drum. That is normal. However if you want to get rid of the musty smell there is a good tip that I have. You can find this on my profile too. Just take about a cup of white vinegar and put it in the drum and wash on hot heavy load. This will clean the tub and all hoses as well. You can do this every few months or even every month if you do a lot of laundry. Put some vinegar into the bleach dispenser too and the fabric softener area as well. This way you will clean everything. It is much cheaper then going out and buying that expensive cleaner made for washing machines. Let me know if you have any other questions and if this was helpful. Good luck and have a great weekend.

Kenmore washer shakes violently during spin cycle

syrny,

Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.

No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
