Where can I get a network set up cable for canon mx 410 printer?

The network is wireless. The only cable that connects other than power is the USB cable for direct connection to a computer. That is the network setup cable. Any Type A to Type B USB cable can be used for the setup.

Power pack connection problem

Ok, you need to obtain another PSU, or you run the risk of ruining your laptop for good. I suspect, the cable, where it goes into, the socket, is fractured. In any event you DO need a correctly fitting adapter. Laptops can run very very hot, I personally experience that frequently. If at all worried, get a "Laptop Cooler Pad" they are an inexpensive."Tray" the laptop sits in, that has extra cooling fans to cool the entire thing down, they work very well. As for any adapter getting hot, they all do get quite hot, always ensure that a clear flow of air is all round the PSU, too.

please check the BIOS setup of the desktop regarding the USB and the Power on Network. maybe there is a conflict. with regards to the power supply, check if the power supply fan is working. if it is working maybe there is a component getting hot. if its is not working replace it with new one.

Cable modum not detecting PC activity????

Unplug the power from your cable modem. Turn off your computer. Make sure there is a network or usb cable connected to the computer from your cable modem and they are connected properly at both ends (if usb use the back ports on the computer).

Plug the power back into the cable modem and wait 1 minute. Turn on your computer. Check connectivity by trying the Internet.

If you still do not have connectivity, try these things in this order:

1. Update the drivers for your network card through your computer/motherboards manufactuar website.
2. Replace the network or usb cable and try again.
3. Contact your cable provider to make sure they can see your cable modem on the network.

If you need to connect via PPPOE, usually this only applies to some DSL clients. It is reccomended to use the install disk that came with your modem so you can set up your username and password correctly to connect. If you need additional information on this, contact your ISP for configurations.

Have fun.

I have a new reformat pc from hp compaq d530. We I can't connect to the internet may be because there is no local area connection. What should I do?

first make sure that you have installed your lan driver and ethernet cable is connected from both end and there is power in your router. Now at command prompt type ipconfig and look for your ip address assinged manually or automatic.....

If you see any ip address try to ping the ip itself and then try to ping gateway..

at command prompt type
ping -t (your ip add)

similarly ping the gateway

if you get reply from ip and gateway then it should reply

Are you using the ethernet connection or a USB connection? If you are using USB, do you have the printer connected to a hub or directly to the computer? Does changing the cable to a different USB port get the computer to see the printer? If you are using a USB port in a hub, try a direct connection. Does the USB hub have power-transformer or is it powered by the computer? Printers are extremely sensitive to losing data when the cable run is too long or the USB hub has too many devices attached (particularly when powered by the computer). Also try a new USB cable. An additional troubleshooting test: turn off your printer for 30 seconds, unplug both sides of the USB cable and see if it is found when you plug it back in and turn it on.

If you are using an ethernet connection, check the cables for both the printer and the computer. Also try plugging the cables into different ports on your router or switch. I'm assuming you have your network working and have a IP address (if your network gives dynamic addresses). You might try repairing the network connection (right click on the network icon in the system tray in XP or Vista).

If these ideas do not help, I'm not sure what is causing your problem.. I hope this helps.

Front usb configration

Just talking from my experience, I have noticed that some boards have problems with USB ports that are connected via a cable (yours is, I presume). Like the P5GC-MX I have in my CCTV server, the front ports only allow Flashdrives and low voltage devices but it doesn't accept USB Harddisks (those using laptop harddrives).

Can you attach flashdrives or is it really dead?

How about your pin connections? was it connected properly using the cable to the board?

What type of casing are you using? I noticed some cheap casings (those especially that don't use FoxConn, have problems with their front USB ports)

Hy hp d530 won't turn on

I have a similar problem:

My Compaq d530 was running fine until one day during plugging in a USB device (MP3 player) the system completely stopped working. The only thing which is active is the green LED on the mainboard.

I have checked several things and have found the following:
- IDE cable had burn marks!! (nasty)
- USB connection cable which runs from the front to the motherboard has changed in color. (darker green while all other connector have e more light white color.)

These are the signs of a brun out, but I do not have any solution to repair this.

Economically the best thing to do is buy a second hand (or new) system. (d530 are about 60 euros these days (march 2009). Hardware parts can maybe salvaged.
