Unless you have a TV tuner card, you cannot connect to a TV. If you do have a tuner card, it is as easy as connecting a jumper cable from your antenna to your computer.

You can try installing the driver for the monitor,

You alos need to verify that you have correct video card driver.

Acer al1916w a lcd monitor power up and shut down

It probably has porblem in the power supply/inverter board, you need to look for bad caps with domed tops, bad MOSFET in the inverter circuits, inverter transformer

I have an Acer AL1916W monitor which powers up and shows the Acer logo and then cuts off. It seems to do this when on for long periods.

Please inspect the DC filter caps in the power supply, see failed ACER due to bad caps first.

I do not know how to plug in the TV antenna for Acer AL1916W

your tv has inputs for RGA plugs please see the bellow pictures.

http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Projector-Cable-HD15-M-RCA-M/dp/B002OF1ES6

this is only a lcd computer monitor. not a tv set. so the antenna tuner is found built into the laptop or video card of your computer. the plug type is pictured above in the link.

Tv tuner card is not supporting with lcd monitor

The intex it 3488 tv tuner has known compatibility problems with this particular Acer monitor: see here.

If the tuner card is new see if you can get a refund, by claiming it as faulty, after all this is a factory fault.

ACER LCD monitor no image, appears white color only

Quickly go to the Acer website and check FAQ's and while there also find out how to get an RMA to return it. My guess is you have a bad monitor. At $200 roughly for a replacement I would hustle. I am assuming you got nothing but a white screen but did get video on your TV.
