Question about Makita JR3050T Recipro Saw 9 Amp

1 Answer

This thing vibrates so much that I can't feel where the saw begins or ends in my hands. It is new!!! Do all these things vibrate so much? I can only use it at about half speed or it slips out of my hands.

For the most part they do vibrate, that's why it is good to make use of the blade guard when cutting. It cuts back on the vibration. I have hand to use a saw without having that guard against what I was cutting and I thought I was going to have my arm fall off. You may want to check to see that the blade and that part the blade goes into are nice and tight. I've used many saws on different jobs, the best brand of saw for the vibration standpoint that I've found is Craftsman.

Vibration in front, feels like wheel bearing but no play in them,2001 chevy s10 2wd 4.3 pickup

First thing to check is tire balance. When you say that there is no play in the bearings, did you jack up the front end, remove the tires and put a dial indicator on the center of the axle shaft to check for run out and end play?

Ripped some 2x2 and heard a noise, stopped and checked motor and found a small black piece of plastic sticking out of the fan vent slot, would like to find out what it could be.

Most likely it is part of motor cooling fan that is on the end of the armature. Look inside the motor, turn the armature and see if any fins are missing on the fan. If there is only one broke off you should be OK to operate the saw. The main thing you should look/feel for is vibration from an out of balance fan. If it vibrates excessivly, replace it. Some fans are available as a seperate part but most are part of the armature. Depending on your model you may have to order the whole armature or even the whole motor.

Hello, I see you may a lot of changes and replaced a lot of parts. We leased an Explorer the same Year as yours. In our case there was a slight noise as well as vibration. The problem was the Front Hub bearings, They were bad at 18000 miles.

There are a few things I want to suggest. The spinning of the wheels on the lift will not load the bearings. A Dyno table can get everything turning with a load on it. As your vehicle is a 4x4, most Dyno's were 2 wheelers. You would have to call to find one for a 4x4.

Next, if the new Hubs do not help, have a look at the rotors. They are also balanced. You can spin balance the Wheel and rotor as a unit with a floor motor. It's not the best way to Balance because tire rotation or even shifting the Wheel on the lugs will UNbalance it. But this method CAN pinpoint a problem if a Balanced tire does not spin true when bolted to the vehicle. You will know the Rotor is off-balance and which axle is causing the problem.

Would be interested to see a Post of what you found.

Bad vibration and noise from saw

Are you sure blade is straight, and mounted on arbor correctly? that's the first thing to check. Or remove blade and 2 arbor plate's and run saw. If you have a vibration after that you have a bearing problem.( rear bearings go bad on these saw's) other they are the best saw for the price. We have about 50 of the 4000 model. hope that help's Never had a vib problem.

check balance of tires; if ok, have rotors refinished or replaced; most likely warped rotors if you can feel it in the brake pedal when braking

Handle bar vibration/shaking RVF400

Hi there!

I have the same problem but i finally had it fixed.
Your front rim is warped. Have it aligned. Balancing alone would not do the trick as this would only balance the wheel on its vertical axis. (assuming they were able to balance it properly)

Jack the front end up and turn the wheel.. Have a screwdriver or any thing that can serve as a guide with the rim, turn the wheel and if it touches the screw at some point of the turn , then the wheel is misaligned. A new stock rim would cost too much so have it aligned with a good machine shop.

To give you an idea of what im talking about:

There's also a chance that the fork fluids would cause this. Fluid levels should be equal. (less likely)

Hope this helps!
I'd appreciate a feedback!

My toyota 1990 is vibrating when moving at 40 to 45 kmp

Hi there. There are a number of things that can cause these symptoms. The most common is that the tires on the front are worn unevenly or that the car needs a front end alignment. take the care to a garage that you trust and have them check the tires and the front end alignment. good luck.
