Switched it on and got an all blue screen one day (red and green are there but flash) popped the back cover off and you can see the red and the green tubes flashing really fast, but the blue just sits there bright with no flashing. i can cure it temporarily by swapping 2 colours on the back of the focus block.
There is no noise and the tv still takes the same time to come on as normal.

Re: screen all blue
Try looking into the blue CRT lens while its on and see if the coolant has congealed. You will be able to tell if it has bacteria growing as this can cause the blue to be unresposive and make your screen have a blue haze. The coolant will need changing if this is congealed with bacteria. This is a common problem in all projection tvs blue and green are more prone to this sympton red is not.

remove back cover then check the CRT tube if there is color red cathode how?by using a wire or test prove connected in ground in your TV very quick if red screen flashes your CRT is good then check your CRT board socket find the driver transistor of red cathode then check it if shorted replace thank you
Good day sir, you are right I may say, the loss of red will cause the screen to go blue, the cable that connects to the lcd and mainboard usually has 3 wires, red green and blue, my guess is the red wire isnt connected properly. there are two terminals one on the LCD and one on the mainboard. better check both side of that cable. It may be caused by cold solder joints, due to the fact that it pops up occasionally, sad to say that any adjustments wont work. unless it is fixed. hope this may help. if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask again. thanks.
Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on
the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device
and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected
You should be watching your dvd's on an input and not on tv analog 3. Every time the tv "senses" a signal change in the audio that screen will pop up. Connect the DVD player to the tv by using either the red, white and yellow (composite) connections or using the green, blue, red, white and red (component). Once you are on an actual input that box will stop popping up.
go into menu turn color off see if you have a black and white picture if not adjust red,green, and blue screen drive on controls in back of tv you have red, green, blue it will have focus /screen controls cover each tube do one at a time blue focus and screen drive adjust to clear blue picture do all 3 tubes, then adjust them to where you have a black&white picture once this is done turn color controll back on.Thank You for using FixYa and Have a Nice Day.
