Question about HTC G1

Open Question

I dropped my t-mobile G1 today and it came on but it keeps rebooting. It will viratte then go to the black g1 screen then to the black android screen. It works for a little bit but then justs shuts off with out warning. Is the battery loose from the drom or could there possibly be a virus from connecting the phone to the computer and using the internet.

My G1 Android will come on and show T-Mobile G1 then Android will come up but then the screen is blank? What can I do?

the best solution is to hard reset, follow the instructions bellow
1. Turn the G1 off. If it's frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit.

2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the middle.

Now to wipe the device clean:

3. Press Alt+L.

4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset.

5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds.

The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.

My g1 tmobile phone keeps turning off on me? what can i do

If it keeps rebooting itself at the G1 and Android screen, you might want to factory reset the phone and clear all the data as there may be a virus. To do this, when turning on the phone, hold the home button and the power button even while the G1 screen comes up. Keep holding these until an image with a triangle comes up. You will then wait 5-10 seconds, and press the home and power button again together. This will bring up the OS screen, and provide you 4 options. One of these options is to wipe and restore to factory. Do this and your phone should work fine after you reboot again.

HTC g1 can not power on after dropped down

If cleaning and checking the battery terminals doesn't work, you may have a broken motherboard. The T-Mobile G1 logic board is nottoo hard to replace. A good source for the part would be ebay. Thereis a step by step guide too that explains how to replace the board : T-Mobile G1 repair. There are also third party T-Mobile repair companies that do it for you.
