Just a few days ago, I lost my windows vista admin passwords. I solved the trouble with the help of windows password reset tool. It not only support XP/Vista/2000/NT, but also compatible with windows 7, I tested it on my computer installed with Windows 7 and remove the local user and admin accounts password successfully. You can check the passphrase when you access the router page:

Open a Web browser and type http://gateway.2wire.net or http://192.168.1.254; the 2Wire Home page opens.
Click the Home Networking tab at the top of the 2Wire Home page.
Click on Wireless Settings. then click EDIT SETTINGS located on the right panel.
Here you will be able to fine the setting for your wireless connection
You can change the SSID, Wireless Channel, Wireless Security, and Network Key
If the Wireless Security Key uses the default, the Passphrase is the 10 digits located underneath the router under the S/N.

How recover forgot log in password

Directly connect into your wireless router with an ethernet cable/network cable. You then need to log in to the router by going to the IP address of the router with a web browser.

Consult your wireless router manufacturer's manual and/or website for your particular model and how exactly to do this.

Forgot windows password, we can use Windows Password Reset to reset our windows password.

The steps are:
Step1:Download and install Windows Password Reset from http://www.windowspasswordreset.net
Step2:Burn Windows Password Reset ISO file to CD/DVD,or USB.
Step3:Put in your newly created CD and remove your Windows Password

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.

If you have 2Wire wireless router then try to find the password on the router itself.
Generally on 2wire router, the password is written on the back side of the router. It is a 10 digit number. Try to find it on the router.
If nothing is working then you can open the setup page of the router.

Connect the computer to the router and open the setup page of the router. Try to find the password on this page.

Seems you forgot everything.
1. You could try the default username : admin with password : admin or username : user with password : user
2. if those not working you can reset your ADSL modem to the factory reset by push the "reset to default button" in the back panel, this will bring your modem to the very first time condition. Use the method 1 to login.

Find your manual for the router or go to the manufacturers website and download a pdf version of it. You can do a hard reset which will loose all the settings but you can then get into it with the default passwords. Unfortunetly most wireless routers seem to die after about a year and they do so gradually.At first they loose connections then they just don;t connect. You may get out for a while using a wired connection but eventually that goes too. You can get a good router for $30 and up so if the rest doesn't fix it the first time you will probably need to replace it.

if you want to go wired on your router, you dont need a password. If you want to connect wireless and forgot the wireless password, then
1. Log on to the web interface of the router and change the password in the wireless settings. 2. If you have more time in your hands , reset your router and bring it back to factory defaults and set it up all over again

I DON'T HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY PC IS CONNECT TO THIS NETGEAR ROUTER. IF YOU FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD OR SOMEONE CHANGE THE PASSWORD. YOU MAY RESET THE ROUTER TO FACTORY SETTING BY AT THE BACK OF THE ROUTER THIS A LITTLE HOLE A PAPER CLIP IS THE PERPECT TOOLS TO RESET IT. THE DEFAULT ID USER IS ADMIN AND THE PASSWORD IS PASSWORD. HOPE THAT THIS INFO WILL HELP YOU SOLVE THE FORGOT PASSWORD AND TO CONNECT TO WIRELESS PROBLEM.

Cant remember passwords to get into NetGear to add another laptop computer to the airport.

so u need to reset it if u forgot password.
By default password is "admin" or blank or "password"
user name "admin"
and if u set another password then u must have to reset if u forgot.
U can find reset button in back side of router press it for 10 seconds then it reeset.
But u have to configure it again.
Please let me know.
