No, the T.V. is hooked up to cable and a DVD player and VCR is also hooked up.

I watch more T.V. than anything else and this is when I notice it the most. Right now I have it set on stereo. It is in an enclosed entertainment center, it has speakers also in the back. Do you think that this could be part of the problem. I replaced my old 27 " t.v. with this new one and it is larger. I hate to have to get rid of the entertainment center, as it is solid oak and a very nice piece of furniture. I am completely at a lost as to wtat is wrong. There are times when it makes this noise that it makes ones ears ring. The speakers are a part of the t.v. output and are not anything that has been added.

I was hoping that it was not because of the television being in the entertainment center. I purchased the television for $400.00 and the entertainment center is worth more than 2 times that. I was hoping it might be something to do with the cable connections on the outside of the house, does this ever happen? Thanks

Hi yes the problem would be that the telly is boxed in as the stereo is set to give the feeling of surround sound so take it out the box and youll notice the sound improve imensly and you will have a sorround sound to youe telly thats why your getting the echo as the telly is putting the sound out at different angles so that is gets to you as soround sound without havint the 5.1 speaker system so please take it out of the unit.
Also make sure the sound settings not on hall as this sound echo anyway make soure its on stereo

Hi no im sorry to say that the problem is due to the unit its in the best thing to do to make sure is remove the telly from the unit then give it a try then i know you will tell me that this was the problem.

Have you checked the sound settings and made sure its not on hall mode and check that the left and right speaker volume check if this can be changed on your telly if it can then set it in the middle so they are both giving out the same volume.
But im sure the problem is the unit its in so its got to be worth a try hasnt it let me know the outcome but im sure you will notice the differance once its out of the unit.

This type of tv are made to give the impresion your getting suround sound with out having all the speakers what they do is project the sound out of the telly form side and back so that it gives the affect of suround sound but as its enclosed it cant project the sound and its getting bounced off the unit causing the echo you here.

Make sure the sound settings are just on stereo as this will give you best sound when watching telly (If it has off setting or mono setting this might stop the echo but you would lose the affect of surround sound, but most new tellys dont give you the option of this but its worth checking)
Failing this take telly out of unit and you should notice the sound improve loads.
Let me know how you get on ok

From what I understand, there is a cable box, DVD player and VCR hooked up to the TV. All sound id from the TV, correct? And does this echo effect occur with everything that you watch (cable,DVD and VCR)?

I am sorry to day but I think the problem is with the entertainment system. You say it has speakers on the back. This means it reflects sound off of the back which is probably what is causing the "echo" that you are experiencing.

My sansui has sound but no picture

My Answer to you> Sound..No Picture? First off...the device or appliance has two separate functions that do not totally unite with one another. True Picture and Sound need to be in Synchronization with each other; but each are independent form each other, as far as circuitry is concerned. Thus; you can have a perfect Picture (VIDEO) and no sound, or visa versa. If the VIDEO is not working, then problems with the video controller exist and this is related to the Picture Control function only. Circuit boards with electronic parts are assembled in a precise order with certain values and purposes. If for any reason one of these components fail the entire Video procedure goes crazy and does strange things. You cannot physically repair the board, and even professional technicians have difficulty doing so. Replacement is the only way to go, or purchase a whole new product.

Picture quality is too bad in NEW sansui 32" LCD

As it is new, take it back for replacement. If you bought in online, have it replaced as it may have been damaged in transit.
Don't bother to try and repair it, it is not right.
Hope that helps.

My new TV is set for cable. I do not have cable, I have an anten

Sansui TV's come from the factory set for CABLE. If this is a HDLCDVD320, you will have to go into the menu to change the signal type to AIR, then run the automatic search to program in your channels. Their free customer service line is 800 289 0980.
I hope this helps.

Remote codes for sansui audio products

only a sansui remote can replace itself, sansui is a great company and prides itself on being unique, you would have to order a remote directly from the maker if possible to use all the function of your unit. even if u get a universal unit to program it probably won't control all of ur function.

This is a device which gives the illusion of more spacious sound by adding reverberation (echo) to the audio signal. This particular unit uses a mechanical analog delay mechanism employing a steel spring! Analog spring reverb units enjoyed some popularity in the late 60's and early 70's, with the Sansui and Pioneer units being the most common..
