You plug the keyboard into the usb socket, unless the dell keyboard is a usb one you will not be able to use it.

I bought an old Mac Mini Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Hard Drive, OS X Yosemite, with serial # C07CS2TPDD6H. What adapter cord could I use to connect it to an iBox C1752, TFT LCD Monitor?

That Mac has a hdmi port and a mini display port. The monitor has a saga port. So ether a hdmi-svga. Or miniDisplay port-svga.

Any usb keyboard will work. So any Mac keyboard newer than 12 years should be good, and newer pic keyboards will work. Beware of older keyboards that have round plugs. On macs these were ADB ports. On PC's, they used PS2 (ADB, ps2, usb are all different, you want the flat rectangle USB)

U.S. pc keyboards also have two modifier keys wired different than the U.S. Mac keyboards, but this can be adjusted in the system preferences. Can't say for non U.S. KBs. They are the windows/alt keys. Vs Opt/Command keys. That is, if you are soused to using a Mac, the key that is closest to the spacebar (command key) is applied by the second key over rather than the first. Again, this can be modified in the Sys Prefs.

My g3 laptop has a blinking mac face and internet globe and question mark what do i do

Hi, Somehow it has been set to boot from a net server of some type.
Tyrn the Mac off then turn it back on while holding the ALT key down.
After a moment or two you shold see a new start-up screen wich will show the globe that you see, but it will also show the internal HD as well.
Wait until you get the pointer back, click on the HD and press return on the keyboard or the forward arrow on the screen.
The computer should then start up from the internal HD.
Once it is up and running , go to System Preferences (under the Apple menu) and select "Startup Disk".
Click on the hard-drive icon and then close the window. That should set it correctly.
Do another (normal) restart and make sure it works.Post back and let us know.

Keyboard works, but CD needs Windows 95 to support

does that unit have a large jack on the end.
If so there is a AT to P/S2 adapter
With the P/S2 adapter Vista should see it because you plugged it in the keybouard port
Give it a try

I use a Mac G3 Wallstreet Powerbook with OSx. Does OSX talk SCSI?

It will only read devices connected unless there is a problem with the scsi port. Also be aware early scsi needed termination to be read.

If the Dell keyboard is a USB keyboard you can use it with a Mac. Just plug it into one of the Mac's USB ports. The keys are different (the Dell doesn't have the special Mac symbols so you'll have to get used to which keys do what) but it will work. (In fact I'm using a generic USB keyboard on my eMac here at work.)

If the Dell keyboard is a standard PS/2 style round plug you're out of luck. There's no place to plug in that style keyboard on a Mac.

I bought an imac g 3350 . never had a mac before

Download your program. Make sure it is for YOUR OS. A .dmg should appear on your desktop when it is finished. Double click that. It should open a file with an application icon and a drive icon on the desktop. Open your applications folder from your hard drive, then drag the application icon to that. Eject the drive icon from the desktop by dragging it to the trash.

Mac G3 beige desktop/keyboard/flash drive plugin

This unit does not have USB ports only discontinued ports called ADB, they look exactly like S-video ports, that is where the keyboard or mouse goes, PC keyboards do not work in these ports only specific ADB keyboards and Mice will work here. If you need any more info on the connectors feel free to ask me

Have just bought a Verbatim portable hard drive (120GB) and it won't show on my Mac desktop. It works fine on my PC

Make sure your Mac meets these minimum criteria or it won't work.
  • Any Macintosh with built-in FireWire port or a Power Macintosh G3 with a powered PCI 6-pin FireWire adapter
  • Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x; Mac OS X 10.1 or higher

DSC F55 - Macintosh

I don't think as yet that it is possible to hook up a DSC-F55 via a serial cable to a Mac. And that's a f#$%^ SHAME! So now i'm waiting for a coolpix 950, and there's a long waiting list. The only solution on offer here now (that's Europe i guess) is a pc-card reader for memory sticks, but it restricts you to a powerbook. Boooooh!!! I guess Sony and Apple aren't friends anymore. If anyone disagrees i'd like to know.
