If you click on the blue writing that says "updates2 you can choose not to install these updates and set the updater to ignore them.

When you log in to the website click on "my time and labor" you then will have to log in again using the same info from the first page log in id and password. The next page your brought to you will notice at the middle of the page is three categories, "my time card, my schedule, and my availability" and at the top of the page there are tabs for other things like personal info etc. To change your permanent availability you're going to have to go to the next weeks schedule since this weeks has already been made and posted, to be able to edit your times. The schedule on the left is the next weeks schedule, and the one on the right says permanent, click the little plus button (on the left schedule) for whatever day you want to change, it adds another little time slot you can write in, specify your time there and then click on the drop down box directly to the left of that day and choose permanent.

LinkedIn tanks at log in w/ Windows Vista, fine with prior operating systems

Hello,
It sounds like you have connection issues.
For starter please consider disabling your firewall (under control panel) then try connecting.
If this doesn't work please try reseting internet explorer settings (under explorer-tools).
Check with tech support of linkedln to see if they require special internet explorer security settings and have them walk you through your settings to make sure nothing has changed.
Last but not least I'd try to go to system restore and restore to a point where you are sure evrything had worked like couple of weeks ago or even one month ago if possible.
(start-programs-accessories-system tools-system restore).
The system restore tool doesn't erase or change any data although if installed any program since that point you are going to have to reinstall it since system restore will restore all registry information to that specific point and disregard everything you did afterwards, therefor I'm going to have to tell you to use at your own risk.
Good luck.
Thank you for using agadycom.

LinkedIn tanks at log in w/ Windows Vista, fine with prior operating systems

I found a solution for *my* problem, by shrinking the MTU in my router.

I have two Vista PCs at home that can't access LinkedIn's sign-in page.

I was suspicious that several browsers seemed to be having a problem, which made me think it was either a virus middleman in the network code, or a router problem. I eliminated the virus possibility by replicating the problem on another PC.

By changing the MTU on my home router from Auto to 1452, I got the signup page to appear.

It appears that Windows Vista's new TCP stack does some advanced segment and window sizing and that didn't work with my Linksys RV042 router's Auto MTU setting. I'm not 100% sure what it is about LinkedIn that caused a packet of just the wrong size, but this is the second time I had to tweak this router to work with Vista. First I needed a firmware upgrade to get some traffic flows to work at all, and now this MTU change.

I do know I've had to change MTU settings in the past to work with encapsulation protocols like PPPoE, but I haven't had to change the MTU setting for quite some time...

Maybe this clue will help someone else...

When on your home computer, the system may auto log on but with other computers, you will have to log in with ID and password to access email.
