Did you check to see if the new heating element is receiving power? If no power, did you check the switch that feeds the element?

Have an older whirlpool duet Electric dryer GEW9200LW0 that is shutting off with an E-1 code. The duct and heater core are clean and the exhaust duct is clean and clear with no restrictions. tryed running...

Hello,

The E1 error code means that the temp. sensor is bad and sometimes it gets a false reading because of poor airflow because of built up lint...but having cleaned all the lint and checked vents i suspect that the temp. sensor is actually defective and should be replaced.

Its called the thermister and the part number for it is 8577274 it could be purchased at your local appliance store or online at;

My LER463rJQ1 dryer is only about 4-5 yrs old and it doesn't seem to be heating as well anymore. I don't know where to start...thermostat? heating element? or what.. What do you suggest.

I assume you mean the clothes are not drying as well or as quickly as they use to.? If so I would start with the Vent system ,85% of extended dry times are vent issues. Start by running the unit and going outside to the dryer vent and check for a good flow of warm air,if very little air is coming out of the vent you need to clean or have the entire exhaust system cleaned out.. With out good airflow you will just end up with warm moist clothing the airflow helps remove the moisture.. If not a airflow problem it may have a thermostat issue not letting it get hot enough or not staying hot long enough,,Hope this helps GOOD LUCK

DRYER NOT PUTTING OUT HEAT

If you can find the wiring diagram inside the rear service panel of the appliance, follow the circuit to identify the overload sensors. There are several internal temperature sensors in the heater circuit that could be open.

Also check that the vent duct, all the way out to the discharge grill outside of the house, is not partially restricting the airflow. Note the same for the lint filter on top as well. Any restriction to airflow will cause poor or no heating problems.

Check for a good discharge of air with everything hooked up, outside where the dryer vent discharges, while the dryer is operating.

Plase feel free to reply your findings, and if you have any additional questions.

Kenmore dryer will not heat

this problem is almost always an airflow problem, check everywhere the air flows including inside the drum to inside the wall.
it is very rare that the thermo switches will cause this problem, but it is possible.

I have a Whirlpool Model LGR5620KQ Heat Problem ....

Here's a site that shows exploded view parts diagrams for your model, which can be useful when working on it. --> http://www.partselect.com/MultiModels.aspx?ModelNum=LGR5620KQ&searchTerm=&RefineSearch=0 A dryer needs two things, heat & airflow. If you have the heat, look for a kinked vent hose or a blocked vent louver where it blows outside the house. If that doesn't help, write more and we'll keep trying.
