Dropped camera now lens wont close. It says lens

Hi,
Remove the batteries and insert new batteries . Sometimes this may work but in your case the lens is stuck inside, or it will have been damaged . Nothing can be done other than taking to service center to get it repaired .

Hope this helps .

Lens wont close.

A lens error on these can happen after a drop as you said had happened. It's best to have it go into a service center, they can service the camera and replace the broken part and have you your camera working perfectly again. The one that many people go with for the Canon Powershots is: www.camerasandparts.com They are not much at all and they do excellent work. They're about half the price of what Canon wants and they include all of the service, parts and everything else. If you need help with it, they'd be the place. Good luck with the problem.

Lens will not close....

hi

based on what you said, we can say that your cameras lens spring got mis-aligned thats why you have to maually pull it out.

you can bring that to any service center and hopefully they wont charge you much because they just have to re-align the spring...

hope this helps.
