Question about Toshiba 36AF42 36" TV

Help pleaseALREADY PURCHASED PREMIUM PLAN?????

I posted a problem with my Toshiba 36AF42 TV yesterday and purchased the premium plan. The tech suggest I replace the FIOS box. I responded back that the box was already replaced. I have not recieved any other help yet...BUT I was asked to purchase the premium plan from you folks again. I already purchased it yesterday and have the credit card reciept to prove it. Some help please. I dont want to replace the TV.. I just want the emote to work all the time instad of intmt.

    I have the same type of television with this problem. The remote works intermittently for 3 days and stop working for good. I did everything to find a solution evev purchasing a new remote. It was concluded that it is the remote eye in the television. I always purchased TOSHIBA television and never see this kind of problem within four years of purchased. I wondered if my television was built on a Monday or Friday.

Just fixed this model 2 days ago with the same symptoms.

It switches on and off but there is no picture

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with
troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need one
circuit board or small part. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

Toshiba 36hfx71 has dropped a color. People are now blue.

No! I am not going to sign up for your Premium Assistance Plan.
Is this some kind of SCAM??
You offered access to online manuals, FOR FREE. Then, when I finally do find the correct one, it is posted entirely in a foreign language. Which I am unaware of at the time.
So I search and search again for the ENGLISH section.
It doesn't exist in this manual.
And then when I inquire about this, I am told that if I sign up, a" WHOLE TEAM" will work on my problem.

ARE YOU CRAZY!!
I I wonder if people of other languages receive their "FREE" info in english.
My guess is they do.

GO TO MENU, THEN SETUP, SCROLL DOWN TO TIMER AND MAKE SURE IT IS ON 0 (ZERO) MIN. SOUNDS LIKE ITS PROGRAMMED TO GO SLEEPAFTER A CERTAIN TIME. THIS TV ALSO CUTS OFF AUTOMATICALLY IN 15 MIN. IF ITS TUNED TO A VACANT CHANNEL( NO PICTURE).

I HAVE NOT SOLVED THE PROBLEM YET. tHE TECH FROM YESTERDAY SAID TO REPLACE THE fios BOX. i RESPONDED BACK THAT iT WAS ALREADY REPLACED WITH THE SAME RESULTS. mY RESPONSE THIS MORNING IS DO i WANT TO PURCHASE THE PREMIUM PLAN??? I ALREADY DID AND HAVE THE RECIEPT TO PROVE IT??????? IS THIS FOR REAL. PLEASE - I JUST WANT TO GET MY REMOTE TO WORK AT ALL TIMES, NOT INTERMITTENT.
