How to keep radio stations tuned in when radio turned of

If your radio has memory locations where it stores station frequencies then you can store those frequencies for easy recall. But if your radio does not have memory storage then it will usually tune in to the last station every time you turn the radio on.

Motevo gtv x3 touchscreen: I don't know how to set radio stations. Once I find a radio station I try to store it, but I don't have a clue how. Can someone explain it to me or tell me where I c

I just bought a used honda city that has this Motevo GTV-x3+ installed. I was successful in storing the channel using the remote. After I go into the radio section, I touch the "Scan" button on screen and once it pauses on a channel I like, I touch the "Scan" button again. This stops the tuner from moving on to the next channel. Next, using the remote I long press a number for example 1 and the channel is stored in the list on position 1.

Car radio won't work all it keeps saying is lost TP TA, what does this mean? please help.

TP is Traffic Programme. It is set if the radio station is likely to give traffic bulletins. You can search and store only those stations with the TP flag set if you want.

TA is Traffic announcement and is set when the tuned station is braodcast a bulletin. It then swiths the audo from mute or cassette or CD to receive it.

EON is extended other networks and is only I think available on BBC stations, so if you are going along listening to Radio 4 say and BBC SCR puts out a bulletin then the radio retunes to SCR for the duration of the bulletin, or longer if they do not switch the flag off!

As for volue, it seems to take the last volume used when the TA/EON flag was last used.

As for it going silent, keep pressing the TP button until you get a full set of TA, TP, EON, REG icons up!

Do not confuse all this with RDS-TMC which drives the data for the ETA on the TNS 200 and TNS300 Nave systems.

Hope this helps.

When you locate the stations and store them then leave the car for any period of time or turn radio off, all the stations you previously stored have all disappeared and you have to retune again!

There are 2 battery supplies to the radio,.

The main one via the ignition key circuit for the radio itself.

The other one is a permanent battery feed to the radio memory.

It is this second (permanent) feed that is missing.

Check the fuse, connectors + wiring to see if there is anything obvious.

If you have a multimeter or test lamp then that can be used to prove the problem

I have a Wharfedale WH170 car stereo. I have programmed the radio channels, but whenever I turn off the ignition, the programmes are lost and I have to retune and store the channels again. Is there...

This is usually caused by having the memory and power connections swapped (one stays on all the time, to store stations etc, and the other turns on with the ignition to provide the main power)

Try swapping the two power wires over - they're usally thick yellow and red wires IIRC, and almost all modern stereos have in-line 'bullet' connectors to let you swap them over easily (because not all car manufacturers have them the same way around!).
