Check all of your hoses, connections, and swivels to make sure that you do not have a leak. Also, check for obstructions in all filter baskets, pumps, debris chambers to make sure that nothing is obstructing the flow. You might also need to increase or reposition your thrust jets. These are pretty common problems with these automatic pool cleaners.

My Polaris 3900 that I bought today is not moving fast enough. There is no blue restrictor cap in the wall.

Check your filter, pump, and debris baskets for excessive waste that could decrease the pool cleaners water flow. Check the hoses, hose connections, and swivels for leaks that could cause loss of water pressure. Check your wheel RPM. If it is below 30, you will need to incease the water pressure. If you have an adjustable return valve, make sure it is open all the way. Also, make sure that your pump is working properly.

Polaris 360, the tail is not moving....what do i need to check

There is a screw that controls the flow through the tail, possible you just need to loosen this to allow more water through. Also it is not uncommon to get a piece of plaster, or other debris stuck inside obstructing the flow.

Not all the wheels of my Polaris are turning how can i fix it

Make sure that you don't have an obstruction in the drive shaft of the Polaris. These automatic pool cleaners will stop moving if they have the smallest thing caught in the drive shaft. You will also want to make sure that you are at between 28-32 RPM. You will need to adjust your water flow if the RPMs are too low.

Where the filter screen / hose connection attaches to the wall of the pool there is a lot of water pressure coming out of the black cap.I have replaced with new ( very expensive ) but same problem is...

Make sure that the blue restrictor disk in in place to decrease water flow. That is a common problem with these pool cleaners. If that still isn't enough, you cleaner should have also come with a red restrictor disk that limits water flow even more. You could also try unscrewing the pressure valve to decrease RPMs and pressure.

My no flow light is on and the polaris won't move

Not too much to go on but i'll give it a shot. Polaris won't move cause there is no or little water pressure. A number of things can cause this, and i'll give you the most common. Dirty or clogged filter. If it's a cartridge type, remove cartridge and try running without it. Clogged output of pump. No input to pump. Make sure pump is primed.

380 unit floats to the top, doesn't move around pool

Check the following three things. One of these should correct the problem you are having with your automatic pool cleaner.

1. Confirm that the blue
restrictor disk is installed in
the UWF to decrease water
flow. Or, install the red
restrictor disk to decrease
water flow even more.

2. Check the wheel RPM. If
more than 32 RPM, unscrew
the pressure relief valve to
decrease water flow
to cleaner. Note: The
pressure relief valve should
only be adjusted when a
restrictor is installed.

3. Verify the back-up valve is
cycling. Hold the valve out of
the water and watch the jet.
It should come on and go off.
