Question about JVC HD-61FN97 61" Television
We have the same TV
the dark spots will continue to grow (and multiply) as you use the TV, as they are caused by dust accumulating on the screen from the TV's cooling fan system.
Only way to get rid of the spots is to remove the screen (after you power it down and wait an hour for things to cool properly, unplug the TV and carefully remove the screen and clean it with the proper methods (screen cleaning equipment computers etc)
there will be some wires still attached to the screen once you get it separated, so go slow, steady and you will be set.

This is probably caused by dust, either on the mirror, lens, or possibly inside the light engine. There is a 5" dia hole on the side of the back of the tv where you can take out one screw and take the door off. this is just big enough for you to put your hand through to clean the mirror and lens. Hope this helps.
