I'm having the same problem! Going near the delete button in MS Mail is a nightmare! Have looked through the configurator and tried adjusting setting in there but without luck. I love this mouse except for this issue, but am considering replacing it to resolve this problem.

same problem ... mouse clicks twice when i click ones..plz help

  • Anonymous May 26, 2009

This is an ongoing problem with Razer mice ( including the Microsoft Habu ) where the microswitch goes faulty.

You can start by removing the thumb buttons using the release switch and dropping some WD40 onto the microswitch but this will only postpone the issue.

The fact is the mouse very likely needs replacing.

HEY EVERYONE I FIXED THE DOUBLECLICK PROBLEM, can't belive i can use this mouse again, i peel off the bottom sticker foot. removed the QC sticker from the screw and removed screw, got top off, under the left click button there is a little black box with a thin white button, i carefully with a small flat head screwdriver lifted the black box slighty off its connection then pushed it back down again. i did this with the mouse plugged in blue lights on and everything. it instanly worked fine. hope this works for anyone else

I had the same problem with the mouse double clicking automatically. It was driving me crazy. I have win xp home. I did everything I could do until I finally started lookng in the control panel and came across the folder options menu. Click the folder option folder and it will list some options on how the folders and files open. Mine had the one checked that was single click to open, basically just doubleclick on auto. I just changed it to the doubleclick to open and it solved the problem!

My left click does not work and i have all recent drivers. why?

There could be a possibility that the left button itself have gone bad. Try connecting the mouse into another computer to see if you'll get the same problem.

Good luck!

My scroll isnt working on my razer copperhead, any ideas?

Just had the same problem with my copperhead... firstly go to url below to show you how to open up the copperhead (only do this if it's out of warranty!! which is two years if you have your purchase recipt) http://razerblueprints.net/index.php/Copperhead/copperhead-disassembly-guide.html . Once you have got the top off look at the front where the wheel attaches you can pull the wheel out of the circular thing on the left then find some thin paper I used some laser receipt paper (probably gonna wear out but will find something better in meantime) cover the hole with a very small square of whatever thin material you have chosen then push the axle of the wheel back in... this tightens the hole back up allowing the clicking feel to come back and the scroll wheel to work again.
Ultimately the problem is wear and tear with the hole for the axle or the shape of the axle end wearing down.

Left click is broken

Actually, first you should try taking the mouse open and cleaning the sensor clicker thing or whole mouses insides, I had similar problem before, that fixed it for me.

Other option which I haven't tried and am not sure if works, you could try to move one of the side buttons that you don't use sensor to the place of the left mouse button. This I HIGHLY advice against tho since this might break down the mouse totally.

Then again if it comes down to not properly working mouse and you have to get new one versus broken mouse and you have to get new one, you have nothing to lose.

My copperhead Razer mouse has started double clicking for one

Hi,
This double-clicking can be due to a worn out micro-switch in your mouse. If you are well -verse with repairing such gadgets, you can go ahead and replace this switch yourself or refer it to a qualified technician

Deathadder left click problem

I've had DeathAdder for about 1 year and it started to do EXACTLY what previous people described, double-click instead of single, stops firing when I hold it in QuakeLive/Counter Strike (have to press it again, etc. etc.) windows cannot be dragged because it needs to be holding left drag, never had this before. same happens on MULTIPLE machines with this mouse, tried 2 diff laptops and desktop and even mac computer....so it's must be something with the mouse not OS/Computer

Left click is broken

I came across this post while having the same double-click issue with my copperhead. I've found that the cause is the plastic contact under the left click button itself. It wears out and takes on the shape of the microswitch underneath. To fix it all you have to do is follow the instruction for taking the mouse apart posted above and lightly filing the plastic contact flat again. You only want to take the notch out of it.

PROBLEMS WITH MOUSE

FIXED, I managed to fix my copperhead last night after its been sat under my desk for the past 4 months with doubleclick problem. I peeled off the lower slider foot, removed the QC sticker off the screw, removed the screw and took the top off the mouse. inside, under the faulty button (left mouse button for me) there is a little black box with a small thin white button on top. i very carefully lifted the black box slightly off its connection with a small flathead screwdriver then pushed it back down again. i did this with the mouse plugged in to usb blue lights on and everything. it stopped double clicking instantly, hope this works for anyone else. let me know.

I can now use my razer again. wooooooooooooooooo

Hmm...I managed to solve the problem of mouse "breaking" while playing counter strike..Its a lil technical...

1. Right Click My Computer -> Properties
2. Choose 'Hardware' tab and then 'Device Manager'
3. You should see a Yellow exclamation mark on 'Razer Copperhead USB mouse' under 'Human Interface devices'
4. Right click -> properties
-------------------------------------------------------------
I do not exactly remember the wordings of the prompts that appear after this..

5. Click on something which says "install / update driver"
6. Choose the 1st option which has something missing in one of the columns..
7. Unzip downloaded driver files on your desktop
8. Choose logical options from here...
9. At some point it will ask for "Razerlow.sys" file...
10. Click browse and go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers....you will find it there...
11. Choose logical options from here and your "breaking" problem will be solved...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This does not solve the "No mouse detected" message in configurator...but atleast you can play your favorite game :-)

Razer copperhead problem

I have something like you've all described with mine occasionally, normally, turning the mouse over and rubbing the laser surround with my finger vigorously is enough to clean off the crud that seems to be causing the problem..
I've never had any software problems or anything with mine..
