First try new ear buds...they do get clogged just like ears! Next, replace gets dry and will get fine cracks that are to even notice unless you are looking for them Littmann tubing does not contain does need to be conditioned with Armoral. I just found that out...after using mine for 7 years! OR>>>>buy a new one !!!!

Honda CR-V 2008 awd Noise from bonnet maybe from the water pump or A/C compresse Looks like bearing noise . For this model car are common promblem

Problem is Paul Qian,

Bearings cannot be counted on to make consistent sounds... but DEFINITE sounds they do... indeed make.

My best & most earnest suggestion (after checking your POWER-STEERING fluid)...

Would be to buy, borrow or beg an AUTOMOTIVE STETHOSCOPE... & listen to all your bearings.

Old time mechanics... use a simple stick or long dowel to listen
(quite precisely) to various areas on the engine...
Done properly... the stick... rod or socket extension will transmit area noises directly to the EAR.... ACCIDENTALLY stick it in the FAN and that stick can be STICKING OUT BOTH EARS...!!

Safe, sane & inexpensive... allows even the reasonably Un-skilled
to directly LOCATE the source of those OBNOXIOUS NOISES.

Check it out on AMAZON... or even eBay.

Locate the noise to that idler bearing... or water pump and you are HUNDREDS of DOLLARS ahead...

Just say away from that FAN...!!

and you will be proud...!!!

Have very loud whinning noise on2000 saturn sc1.9 sohc can intake gasket cause this sound or a tensioner

Tensioner, alternator, power steering pump, water pump. All of these can cause this. Using either a mechanics stethoscope or a long screw drive (place you screwdriver near not on the pulley if each decice. Then place you ear to the handle..the screwdriver will transmit any sounds to your ear. Always be careful of clothing, jewelery hair etc so I'd doesn't get caught in the belts or pulleys) locate what is making the noise and replace.

I have aticking sound on the driving side of a 1997 lincoln towncar

Although you did not mention the mileage of the car, here are some ideas.
Is the motor oil clean, and has it been changed regularly? (We are hoping it is not sludged up and dirty.)
Dirty oil can cause clogging of oil lines and hence ticking sounds.
If it is clean and has been regularly changed, try a mechanic's stethoscope to find the source of the sound.
Such stethoscope is a really long screwdriver. ( 18 to 24 inches).
You put the handle end to your ear and the tip on the valve covers to try to determine where the ticking is coming from.
First and easiest attempt would be to add an engine oil additive to stop the sound.
You could use a thin additive like "Rislone" or "Lucas", or a thick additive like "STP".
I have used these, and they worked for me.
I they do not help in a week or so, you may need to remove the valve cover and try to pin-point the problem.
God bless your efforts.

My truck making loud noise how do i find the noise

If you have Mechanic Stethoscope you can find where is the sound coming from. If not have a piece of rod and hold it close to your ear. Take care while you are around the moving part.Touch it and feel where is the loud you hear through the rod
I hope this will help

I have a blood pressure sphygmomanometer, how do you take a blood pressure reading and what is normal?

Much easier to go to a store, like Walgreens and get an inexpensive ( like 15 dollars) automatic wrist cuff blood pressure monitor, that will give you accurate and quick readings of your heart rate, and blood pressure, systolic and diastolic, automatically.

06 Armada making a whining noise coming from the engine area, maybe the crank shaft or the harmonic balancer.

Use a stethoscope ( an mechanics stethoscope is best but a medical one will work) to find the source. With the ear pieces in your ears place the end on different parts until you find the source. You said "from the engine area" so my guess is it is something like the power steering pump or alternator.

I have an older triple head Tycos Stethoscope that has a metal spring-like bridge at the bas of the ear tubes, and which holds the ear tubes separate. This broke near the connection with one of the ear...

If it's less than ten years old, it may be under warrantee. When mine broke, 15 years ago, I had to replace the whole Binaural/Spring Assembly piece- the metal ear tubes and the spring are all one piece.
Major med equip suppliers- Schein, Darby, etc., stock the parts. WA has them, probably for sl more-plus $10 extra charge for orders under $100.
I found them here:

1998 pontiac grand am misfire cyl 4

I'm a bit confused concerning your spark plug wires as the standard 2.2 engine does not have them, so my suggestion is based on the 2.2 engine as the 4 cylinder you state you have.
If the secondary electrical has been replaced, I would suggest inspecting the fuel injectors for operation.
The easiest way to test the operation of the fuel injectors is to listen for a clicking sound coming from the injectors while the engine is running. This is accomplished using a mechanic's stethoscope, or a long screwdriver. Place the end of the stethoscope or the screwdriver (tip end, not handle) onto the body of the injector. Place the ear pieces of the stethoscope in your ears, or if using a screwdriver, place your ear on top of the handle. An audible clicking noise should be heard; this is the solenoid operating. If the injector makes this noise, the injector driver circuit and computer are operating as designed. Continue testing all the injectors this way.
If all appear to be functioning we can move on to the next suggestion.
Let me know.
