Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions

1 Answer

Symphonic TV WF-13

This TV had been working fine. I have a dish network remote programmed to control the TV functions. When I hit the mute button on the remote it came up with a menu with the numeral 1 in each corner. I had not seen this menu before, and the only way I could get it off was to turn off the TV. Now the channels only go to 69 and none of them are viewable. I'm not sure if this is the problem but I can't find any way to change from cable to antenna in the menu that comes up with the menu button.

I have had a problem like what you stated.

I turned TV off. Then unplugged the TV, for 5 mins.
Then plugged the TV back in the power outlet.

Also try the menu button on the TV itself, NOT the remote.

Scroll thru the menu button, with alt volumn & channel buttons
make changes.

Good Luck

If its input selection function do not work properly, you have to check to set up the remote control with an other code to your TV. If you wish to get more details, check this link. Setup code list and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Pull up older posts there.

I have a 1 in all four corners of my T.V. and a 189-0.19 thing in the center of the screen and can't use my remote to fix the issue

I have the same thing. All was fine until I hit the direct tv remotes mute button then immediately the volume went UP and the remote no longer worked for the TV. Amazing.

I need the dish network remote code for the durabrand 13" tv

Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the TV Mode button on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Networkremote to control your Durabrand TV. Press and hold the TV button located on the top ofyour remote until all mode button back lights come on, then release. Usethe number buttons to enter the codes for your Durabrand TV; here some ofthe codes we currently have: 220, 233, 720, 834, 733, and 623. Press the pound (#)button to save the code in the remote. To check that the code works try several different functions on theremote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Keep in mind that somecodes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, pleasetry the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

Whats the tv remote code if i have a direct tv + remote.

The Directv remote isn't capable of fully emulating the native remote of the Symphonic Combo. You can get limited functionality though.

1. Move Remote slider to "AV1" position.
2. Hold down mute and select until you get 2 flashes of the green light, then release both keys.
3. Enter 20821 and observe 2 more flashes of the green light.

Next lock the volume controls to this device.

4. If you have moved the remote's slider from the AV1 position, move it back. The slider should remain on AV1.
5. Hold down mute and select until you get 2 flashes then release both keys.
6. Enter 993 and observe 2 flashes.
7. Press and release THE SELECT KEY and observe 2 more flashes.

You can control the TV's power using the big power button under the device selector.
