my first suggestion would be to take it in to be repaired professionally, but if you can't then, taking it apart would be risky especially if you are carrying a static charge (one zap and you will be searching for MORE replacement parts or a ENTIRE new computer) one way to avoid this is to use special tools and non static clothing (eg don't wear your favourite fuzzy slippers or big woollen shirt or work on a carpet!). Best bet is to just send it in.
d problem may be due to the drivers..if u know to install drivers properly then give a try by reinstalling d drivers for CD/DVD drive..if u don't know, take it to t near by available technician, he ll solve dis problem..
