Flush heater core on 2009 ford ranger

if your just doing the heater core you can clamp off the heater hoses to the core, disconnect them from the heater core and run water through it both ways. if its real bad connect spare hoses to the heater core spigots and pour CLR into the core until it is full(coming out other hose) block off hose so the core is filled and let sit. then flush out again until water runs clear. if this won`t clear it then it will have to be replaced.

Washer won't drain

the drain hose is on the back. it's generally the biggest hose on a washing machine and in most cases black. it could be kinked or clogged. once you locate the hose it's held on with a clamp. undo the clamp and it pulls right off. if no clog or kink there follow the hose to the drain usually on the wall and look there. I doubt it would be or else you would have water all over the floor so my guess is it's not even leaving the washing machine. Also something to keep in mind is that it could be the pump that draws the water out.

I have a samsung dms500tr dishwasher that turns on, starts the program but will not fill with water. we have checked filter and all are clear

The water inlet valve has stopped working. It is an electric magnet valve. located in the bottom of the machine, remove the side panel where the water hose comes in and follow the hose to the valve. Shut off the water supply and remove the valve, note how the wires are connected. Buy a new valve and replace. No special tools are required. A Phillips scewdriver a straight screw driver and a pair of pliers are a that is required.

Pump keeps running even with door open..had to shut breaker off to stop...

Hi
Your machine has been leaking water and the flood switch has been triggered, whereby the machine goes into a continuous pump cycle.

Pull the machine out. Make sure you disconnect water hoses (both inlet and outlet) and power cord to free them up before pulling machine out. There will be two screws either going from the inside walls of machine or from the inside roof of machine. When you open dishwasher door you will see the two holes on the side walls or the top of machine. There may be a black rubber plug covering them. These screws secure the machine to your kitchen cabinet.
When you pull machine out tip the machine on its back. NOTE:Make sure you throw plenty of towls on the floor as there will be water pouring out of the machine.
Check to make sure the drain/outlet hose is not ruptured or burst. This is very common.
Reconnect machine preferably while it is out so that you can view the hoses while machine is running.
On the back of the machine are some hex screws which you can undoe to open back plate where hoses come out of. Run machine with back plate open. Be mindful of live electric cords on the inside of machine. Have a torch handy. If there is a leak you will see it. Also note hose connections to your washpump which sits at the back of machine. I have seen them leak as well.
Ask me if you have any questions.

How to change the water inlet valve?

Disconnect the electicity. Shutoff your water shutoff valves. Disconnect the two hoses leading to the valve noting which hose is hot and which is cold. Unscrew the access plate. Unscrew the screw holding the valve in place. Lift it slightly so you can push it out. Make note of the electric connections to the two solenoids. Disconnect them. Disconnect the hose ring with hose ring pliers if you are lucky enough to have them or use pliers and good luck. It your push it down below the hose it is easier to get the hose off. Wiggle the hose carefully so you don't break it. I found it useful to put the valve back in the resting place of the metal frame to be able to get a better grasp on it. Take the new part and instead of reinstalling the hose with the old hose ring get an automotive hose ring that you can screw on with a socket wrench. Reconnect all the electric connections. Put the valve back in the metal frame and screw it in and the metal plate. Reconnect the hoses securely and slowly turn the water back on making sure it doesn't leak. Plug back in and you should be in business.

DIshwasher doesn't drain. 3-4 inches of water sits in the bottom

A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water.

Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing.

Here is my problem... 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0 straight 6. Overheating. New thermostat, new water pump, hoses, sensor on the water outlet, no leaks. electric fan comes on with the a/c only does not come...

Sounds like an air lock, from when you changed the water pump, most likely. Take a heater hose off, and try and get some air out of it. Then, idle it with the rad cap off, until the thermostat opens. You should see the water level drop when it does. If not that, then the sensor for your fan needs to be replaced. The fan always comes on when the AC is on, but the sensor turns it on when the AC is not on.

Water leaking from bottom and hose not connected

The hose just pushes on. You will have to take the top cover off to rehook up the hoses. There are scres on the bottom, then where the dirty water tank sits, there tabs that you have to unhook, then the cover will come off. Note: the filter inside the ditry water tank, leave a gap at the top to the filter. If you push the filter all the way up, it won't spray or suck up.
