Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer
I have a paper jam light on when there is no paper jam. I tried unplugging & replugging hitting #9, air cleaning the sensor area, & turning it upside down & gently shaking to disloge any loose paper. None of this works. Please help - I'm going crazy here!!
Got rid of my problem!
In an act of despair I started to poke around the inside of the printer with a wooden match. Especially I found a small black lever mentioned on a Dell web site (general paper jam help page) that could be pressed a little. It is placed just a little bit right of center behind the carriage and just above the roll that feeds the paper beneath the printer heads. I'm not sure if this was what finally did it, but now the paper jam problem has gone away.
Another thing I noticed is that my carriage is now moving to center when I open the top. When the paper jam error was present it always moved to the far left (so I could remove any jammed paper, I suspect).
