Will a cordless phone interfear with your internet or the cordless phone if its to close to your internet box?

A wireless router and wireless network adapters can have interference issues with cordless phones. It depends on the network adapter frequency and the cordless phone's frequency. Most problems will occur with a phone that uses 2.4GHz. This frequency will interfere with 802.11b/g networks and single-band 802.11n wireless signals.

A DECT cordless phone operates at a different frequency from the 802.11g and 802.11n single-band and will not interfere with a wi-fi network with those modes.

However, some routers and wireless adapters can use the 5GHz range (802.11n and 802.11ac, among them). These can have a problem with cordless phones that use 5.8GHz. However, there is a simple solution to avoid much of the interference at 5GHz. First determine the frequency range of your phone by getting the FCC ID from the base of the phone. Then use Google or another search engine to find "FCC ID Search Form". It has been at http://transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/ in the past. The first three characters are the Grantee ID for the search form. The rest is the product ID. Look for the SAR report for the phone and then (probably on the second page) find the TX frequency range and the Max RF output power tested. Now go to the wireless router's setting page and make sure that it is using channels that do not use the same frequency and power range. See http://bradsfavorite.com/avoid-interference-5-ghz-wifi-5-8-ghz-cordless-phones/ below the 5GHz Wifi Frequencies for a table with the channel and frequency ranges for routers.

I hope this helps.

HI, I have a GM338 VHF radio with "synth unlock" how can I fix it, please help me

If "synth unlock" is displayed when you power the radio on, that means the frequency synthesizer is unable to synthesize the desired frequency. it may be faulty or the last frequency entered in the radio may be out of the radio's range. Try changing channels. If that doesn't resolve the problem then the synthesizer is most likely bad and the radio would need to be serviced by a qualified radio service shop.

Monitor displays /out of range 15.7hz/ 60hz

This usually happens when the frequency range of the monitor can not handle the refresh rate provided by the system. Did you tried to change the resolution or the refresh rate frequency of the system ? If yes then you have to revert the change. In case you are unable to make the change from with in the OS as message pops-up at the start-up i suggest attach an other screen and choose a lower resolution afterwards you can attach the same screen and hopefully the issue will be resolved.

When on a cordless phone connection to internet is lost with wireless internet

Most wireless routers transmit over the 2.4GHz frequency, which is the same as many cordless phones. If you can, move the router or the phone so that they are far away from each other. Otherwise, the easiest thing to do is buy a cordless phone that operates on another frequency. (Most phones display their frequency on their packaging.)

Why does ONLY one out the 17 windows / doors transmitter give a FAILURE signal only when THE temperature falls BELOW 50 degrees fahrenheit?

crystal based transmitters and some pll based transmitters can stop transmitting or change their frequency sufficiently during hot or cold temperature excursions causing them to go outside the monitored range fo the base receiver which looks like them going off line to the control panel. This is a sign that the particular sensor has a bad or out of spec component in the transmitter board of the sensor. You can resolve the issue by either replacing that unit or by reassigning it to an area that maintains a more moderate temperature profile. Replacing it is generally the best bet so that if it dwells on the cusp of being within the correct frequency range it could cause a false alarm under the right conditions.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F1 in your Frigidaire Electric Range means that the control panel has gone bad and to resolve this issue it should be replaced. Unfortunately there is no other way it can be resolved. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Monitor Help

Two things: one, the pivot may be really tight and therefore doesn't move easily. Two, the pivot on that monitor doesn't have much range. It ranges from looking slightly downward, to slightly upward. The pivot will give before you break anything so long as you're not trying to force it past the limits.
