Question about Toshiba Satellite M45-S265 Notebook
I had tried searching all previous post and can't find a similiar problem that I face. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot.
I am using Toshiba Sattelite 1410 series, using Windows XP Home Edition. I had tried reformat but that didn't solve the problem. Below explain the situation of the problem:
After I switch on my laptop, it succesful load on the normal window screen. No problem in viewing the screen from till the window XP desktop screen load.
This is where the problem start, the time of the screen goes blank vary (nothing to do with standby or power save setting as I change all the setting so that the screen is on all the time, also no screen saver) - most of the time within few minute the screen just goes blank. The strangest thing is occasionly I can view the screen without any problem for hours (rare) after I start up.
When I plug in an external monitor, it has no problem for the display on the external monitor.
There is another strangest thing to which I don't understand the most, whether I continue to use my external monitor to work or I just leave the laptop screen goes blank for a while, let say 15 minutes (again time vary), I then press fn + f5 to switch between screen mode. Poof the display come back on the laptop screen, however this may or may not stay on for long, it can switch back to blank again in few minutes.
It is much appreciated if someone can help to solve the mystery for me.
1)I have a TOSHIBA Satellite M40 - 277 and I have the opposite problem as described...My screen of the laptop is black and only goes on when the desktop loads...
I tried to change the toshiba power saver settings and so on...
I got one reaction when I went to desktop - engerysettings- i changed from toshiba power saver to laptop...then the screen stayed complety black, all the time, also when I was already on my desktop...lucky I connected to an external screen and changed the settings back to toshiba power saver...
What can I do?
2) Furthermore, I 'm trying to get into my BIOS to change the boot settings so i can reinstall windows xp but also on the external screen i only see something when xp already starts loading...pushing the DEL button at the beginning doesn t help as well...
