hay Darren , If you have an electric dryer it may be a element or fuse , if its gas it may be bad coil or fuse . The washing machine does not heat the water rather bring it in from the boiler therefor its unrelated to the dryer .good luck APPLIANCES R EN

I have a hotpoint aquarius tdc 30 conderser dryer. It gets hot and rotates the clothes, but they aren't drying. what's wrong?

Hi, Well if it is getting hot but not drying the clothes than most likely you have an airflow problem. Take off the vent hose on the back of the dryer. It will be plugged up with lint either inside that vent on the dryer or the hose will be plugged somewhere. If you clean this or just plain replace the old hose this will take care of the problem. Good Luck. feed back is appreciated.

My maytag clothes dryer does not get hot anymore.

is this an electric dryer? if I had the model number, around the hole where you put the clothes in, I could tell you better if this is something you can do yourself. it may not be the heater, it could be a thermal fuse cutout giving you trouble. let me know.

Dryer wont turn inside but gets hot and turns on

If it's not turning at all, the belt is probably broken. If it turns a little and then stops, the belt is slipping. In either case, the belt needs to be replaced.

TDC 30 Dryer starts but after 5 mins "clicks and stops"

its probably the relay (brown plastic box at the front under lid)! Symptoms are usually.... the dryer will go for a few minutes then shut down.... then you have to wait for it to start
