I should've been a little more clear. I am using a dynex usb transfer cable and trying to get c drive from toshiba laptop to desktop, both xp. Not understanding the method to drag these. I'm getting the local and remote screens okay, just can't move the folders or whole drive for that matter properly.

If you have USB drive ( 250 GB) you can copy the complete folder by clicking and dragging the content to the USB drive.
2. You can use the "backup" feature in Windows to move the desired folders to the USB drive or to a DVD
3. The instruction are found in the "help & support" in the under the Windows "start" button or in the case of Windows7 the Windows Orb ( right hand side of the screen) on the popup screen. There should be step by step instruction for you there.
I hope this helps.

    1. click folder then right click and you will see a drop down menu select "copy" .
    2. Open the USB drive and the right click again and use the "paste" on the drop down list >> this will copy the folder content to that drive.

How do you use the pattern stitching module in singer model 2732. I have the Manuel but still don't understand how it works. I have followed instructions and nothing happens. I must be doing something...

Have you installed the stitch selector pattern module for the patterns you want, seated it properly as outlined on page 52 of the instruction book following all 7 steps? (Page 54 identifies the knobs and lever's that need to be moved to successfully install the pattern module)

If that is done correctly, then selecting a stitch is done with the stitch selector lever being moved under the letter corresponding to the stitch you are trying to select. (Shown beginning page 55) You also need to move the stitch length knob as indicated.

You will need to be sure you are following the instructions very carefully as there are a number of settings that need to be made to ensure you get the stitch you are trying to achieve.

I hope this helps you.

Hi,
Thanks for being so descriptive about the problem you are having with the system. Since the laptop is shutting down and does not come after 15 mins. First you need to run the diagnostics on the system.
1. Shutdown the laptop disconnect it from the AC adapter and remove the battery.
2. Press the power button for 10 sec( this done to remove any residual charge from the motherboard)
3. Re-insert the battery and Re-connect the Ac adapter.
4. Press the Fn key and power button to run the diagnostics.
Note down and repost any error messages.

How do I capture images on my lenovo S10/Windows XP screen? (usage instructions) cruzer SDCZ36-004G-A11

Step 1: Insert your flash drive into your computer’s USB port.
Step 2: You may be presented with a window open that says “Auto Play
If this is the case, simply click on “Open folder to view files”. If you don’t have this window automatically open, open “My Computer”, locate and double-click on the appropriate device to open.
Most flash drives will be labelled as a Removable Disk but some will be labelled as a hard drive. If you have troubles locating your device, remove the flash drive from your computer, open “My Computer” and take note of the drives and devices already there, then reinsert your flash drive into the USB port and watch for a new device to appear. Take note of the name Windows uses to label the flash drive, Removable Disk (F:), for example. Double-click to open.
Step 3: Open the location of the photos and/or folders you wish to transfer to the other computer.
Step 4: Select the photos and/or folders. To select multiple images or folders, hold down the Ctrl key while making your selections.
Step 5: Right-click on your selection, choose “Send To” and then the appropriate destination (in my case, Removable Disk (F:). Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop your photos or folders into the opened flash drive folder, so long as both windows are seen on your computer’s monitor.
Step 6: Once your files have been moved over to the flash drive, click on the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon located in the notification area (bottom right corner of your computer’s monitor).
Select the device and click “Stop”. You may have another window open asking you to confirm which devices to stop.
Select the device from the list and click “OK”. You’ll then be prompted that it is safe to remove the device.

Transfer all files from my old desktop to new laptop

you can do that by following the steps below;
Instructions
  1. Step 1 Connect your laptop to your desktop through a home network connection. If you have a home network, you can hook up your laptop to it via an Ethernet cable or a wireless network card. Then, you can set a folder on your desktop computer to be shared across the network. To set a folder as shared in Windows, simply right click on it, select "Sharing and security," select the "Share" tab and check the box labeled "Share this folder on the network." You will then be able to access this folder from your laptop and transfer files to your.hard drive.
  2. Step 2 Purchase a USB jump drive. These handy devices are the size of a key but can store five gigabytes of files or even more, depending on the type of USB jump drive you buy. Insert the USB jump drive into your USB port and your operating system should find it as new hardware. If a window doesn't automatically come up, you can find in your drives under "My Computer." Then, you can click and drag files into it, remove the drive and take it to your desktop computer and access the files there.
  3. Step 3 Put your files onto another external storage device, such a CD, floppy disk or external hard drive. Files are transferable between any computers as long as you can store them on something external, then use that external device to move them to the other computer.
  4. Step 4 Email files to yourself. If you only have a few files that you would like to transfer and don't have any of the equipment used in Steps 1 through 3, send yourself an email with the files attached, access your email from the other computer and download the files to your hard drive.

Lost Files

Click on the following link and download the TestDisk program. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/Main_Page

Then follow the instructions here to undelete the files if they are recoverable. (I'm assuming the file system is NTFS)

http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk:_undelete_file_for_NTFS

Let me know if this takes care of it.

Lost files

Have you tried to SEARCH for any file names that you put into that folder? If the search finds a file name that you placed into the folder, make a note of the location of that file, this should help you to locate the missing folder .... it's generally not a good idea to place large files or folders in the desktop, depending on the Windows version you are running. But try the SEARCH for individual file names that you remember putting into the new storage file. Let us know what happens?

My Acer C: drive is full but Data D: drive is not.

Find a picture on the internet.

Right-Click the picture.

Choose "Save As"

A box will open like this one:

34f65cf.jpg

click on My Computer and point it to where you want the file to be saved on the C: drive (the one with all the space).

It will remember the path so you only have to do this once.

That's it.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Please don't forget to rate my solution.

Thanks!

Need instruction "HOW TO" install DVD-ROM multi function drive inToshiba Satellite M45-S265 PC Notebook

Unfortunately I was unable to find a step by step guide for you, however I found a picture of the backside of your laptop. There should be only one screw to remove the cd rom drive located where the red arrow is pointing;

Simply remove that screw and pull out the drive :-)
