Question about RCA OPAL M4001 MP3 Player
Try this with the MP3 player plugged in.
Right Click on My Computer and select Manage
Expand the System Tools tab if needed
Select Device Manager
Look for any object with a yellow circle/black exclamation mark
If you see one for the MP3 player, right click, select properties, go to the driver tab, then click uninstall.
Then, unplug and reconnect the MP3 player and reinstall if still not working restart the computer while the player is connected.
