I have a blodgett zephaire gl oven. unit kept buring up 24v transformer, was old bad centrifical switch in motor. I replaced motor with brand new one, unit still buring up 24v transformer.....why ?

A short somewhere causing it to overamp. Put a 3amp inline fuse on the secondary side (24v side) on the hot wire. This will save the transformer and blow the fuse not the transformer. The centrifugal switch prolly wasn't bad. So I would trace the wire coming off transformer and look for bare wire or loose wires. Anything that would cause a short

I need wire diagram for 40AQ030300BB carrier unit

you have 24 volt across both terminals of contactor coil? if not and condenser is still running then you have a stuck contactor. also this is a heat pump so you have 24v and common going to out side unit and rodents or dogs may have chewed up wire and causing a short making connection and this would have blew transformer. FYI installing a 3 amp car fuse(spade type) installed in line of 24v coming off transformer will protect transformer as well as other components. your T-Stat may be defective as well.

Have two Broan exhaust fans that I want to wire to a programable hvac themostat.I'm told that I need a relay and not sure how they are wired. The fans draw 1.23 amps each and looks like they have

are you sure that your not looking at motor capacitor attached to each motor??? To use programable stat you would have to find line voltage stat with rating to handle fan amp . other option is to use low voltage stat and transformer and fan switching relay with fan motor wired through n/o contacts and relay 24v coil energized by low voltage stat.

Hd3202 will not turn on

Hello! I would suggest that the Transformer is defective. Via brand and model number you can purchase a transformer. if you have a little experience with a digital voltmeter and purchase a Sam's wiring diagram the transformer can be tested...............Use caution and steer clear of the tube anode connection and discharge all capacitors......Guru..Saailer

I have a Dometic A/C unit that is not functioning. The furnace won't fire up as well. Have checked all fuses etc, and installed a new thermostat and controller in the A/C unit last night ... still...

When you say your fan runs do you mean on the furnace or the outside unit? Double ck your themostat wires if you have a volt/ohm meter ck for 24 v at the contactor in the ouside ac unit. On most A/C units you can manually push the contactor in to make it contact be carefull 220v use an screwdriver to do this and push only on the plastic center if the unit kicks on your themostat/wires/or contactor is bad my bets on the wires. good luck

Schematic diagram of central air conditioning

Several types out there. 99% of them use the same basic wiring.
Red is power from transformer to t'stat. Sometime there is a wire for common from transformer to t'stat too, but not always.
While is for heat. Green is for fan. Yellow is for cooling.
These 4 to 5 wires go on the terminals that are maked with letters: C=common, RH/RC is for power, W=heat, Y=cooling, G=fan.

In most cases, 2 wires from the indoor unit will go to the outdoor unit to power it for cooling. Usually connected to the yellow wired, Y terminal and common or grounded to the unit if the transformer is done in the same fashion.

If you have a heat pump, totally different animal and different wiring too.

Hope this helps you. Good Luck.

I need A wiring digram for a Byrant 7a4anf036000abaa air handler It is old but still in good shape . I just need to change the transformer an a frind removed the wires and i need to check a digram before...

I have searched high and low for a schematic and that model number doesn't even come up anymore? I have worked on bryant units for years . I can tell you by the 036 , it is a 3 ton unit. as far as replacing the transformer, you may not need a diagram. If you know what the voltage is coming into the unit, lets say208/230 and look to see what your control voltage is by looking at the voltage rating on one of the parts in the system, I would say 24volts, your chances are good you can install the transformer. A new 208/230voltx24volt trans, comes with all of the wiring laied out for you. Find the 2 high voltage Line wires coming in and tie to the high side of the transformer, and the 2 wires labeled for 24 volts to the load side, and your all set.Keep in mind that some of these universial transformers come with several colored wires for different voltages, so be sure to look at the transformer diagram and it will tell you what colors to tie together for the voltage you need. You should be able to pick up where you're friend left off, just look for the high volts in for one side and low volts out for the control side.Be sure to have a meter on hand to check the voltage. Just take your time, you can do this.

Ps It wouldn't hurt to add a 5 amp auto fuse to one of the wires on the low voltage side of the transformer, in case you miss wire it, and it will blow the fuse and save the new transformer. All you need is 2 female spade connectors and a 5 amp fuse.
Good Luck, Sincerely, shastalaker7

Dead printer?

I assume the transformer has 2 wires coming out of it. My guess is that the wire from the transformer is working however the wire leading from the Transformer to the printer is not.

You may need to purchase another power unit.
But on the bright side, a transformer is cheaper than a new printer.
:)

Hope this helps.
