Seems like your screen has an imbalance of electrical current running from the mother board to the screen. I would suggest bringing it to a best buy or contacting the company to see if your laptop is still under warranty. If so they will easily replace you laptop with a new one.
Hi. Yes, it could be a failing LCD screen but I would suggest to check the ribbon that connects the LCD screen to mainboard and make sure that it is not damage and properly connected.
Hi You probably have a video ram chip going bad or it has come loose from the mother board. This type of repair requires a qualified, reputable service center.
no its not a driver you have a video chip getting ready to fail.on the v2000 it intergrated in to the mother board. soon you will be joining many other compaq v2000 and m2000 owners in the search for a mother board compaq has updated part numbers it a whole differant board for these units due to having a common failure rate of the original mother boards.Compaq know there was a over heating of the video chip that leads to failure but has not offered any assistance to there customers. Hi, i understand ur problem and try to the following steps. Shut down the NB and turn it on and repeatedly tap F10 key until you see a blue screen and then tap F9 key once and load the bios defaults. Wait for some time and check if u can see the lines and the green blobs. If u still see the same on the screen, it means that there is some problem with the mother board. If u have still warranty left on the laptop, contact the technical support of HP so that they will take the laptop for service. This will definitely work
Thanks and Regards Honey
More like the LCD Inverter Board..a loose connection would not cause that, unless you pulled the video cable by openening and closing the lid, but again that too is highly unlikely..
If you have blue strip running down vertically from top to bottom then normally there is a problem with LCD or a loose LCD cable. But what I recommend you to test more is tha,t if you tab at the back of your screen ...does this problem occur ???
Incase it does, then its a loose LCD cable problem. You still need
a qualified person who knows how to open the monitor to repair inside.
And again for the White screen it can also be both cases I mentioned above
