Question about Activision Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for Windows

Open Question

The game won't let me reinstall COD Mod War 2.

Decided to uninstal above, tried to reinstal it using the usual off- the- disc installation procedure. got as far as the dialog box with the three choices, clicked on "install", up popped a box with the message saying it was installing, complete with flickering of the text, which is what it did on the 1st install, then way down the line (probably because I'm on slow Hughesnet, up pops a dialog box that says the game cannot be installed in the3 folder the gasme selected and it wants me to browse for another one. The choices start with the C drive-I figured that's a safe guess, but no cigar-the same msg pops up so I go thru every one listed and get the same answer. The game won't let me install the game.
What's a gent to do?

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: ok its just like this, i start up my game, i click

This happens when the your desktop resolution and in game campaign map resolution dont match. Try to have 800x600 resolution for both your campaign map and your desktop.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Call of Duty 2 (PC) Not Working: I BEG FOR YOUR HELP

First off. Uninstall the game. go into the directory and delete anything you see with Activision or call of duty 2. then, reinstall the game. Make sure the disc is clean, use Windex or water and a rag to clean the disc. (the smallest smudge ALWAYS screws my install up..). Install. DO not play it yet. Go to there website and locate the newest patch for the game. Update the entire game first. Then go play. all the servers are kicking you because you are not updated like everyone else. The game itself and server is kicking you because you are not updated. You **MUST** update to the newest driver or the server will **NEVER** let you in. Hope that sheds some light on the situation. any further questions email.

SOURCE: Game will not play

This is probably related on how your cool video card is. You need to check the game's system requirement before running this game making sure you passed all the requirement. If yes, you may try re-installing your video card's drivers then run the game again.

SOURCE: when i go to install transformers the game PC

Hey jon, There are many things that could be causing this. The first is that the game data could be faulty as in its missing some certin data so get it replaced if not then it could be scratched depending on how deep it is.. And the last one is that you are installin it incorrectly Which is very easy to do.. So best bet is to reinstall it

I just bought the Star Wars: Empire at War Gold Pack and it keeps telling me I have the wrong disk in the drive when I try to start it up.

If there are multiple disks, you need to put the "game" disc. If you have the "game" disc in the disc tray, you need to uninstall the game then reinstall the game.

Hi, Dane You might want to download a different version of the game. Try follow these steps: - Go to and download vuze. It is an application for downloading torrent files. - Go to This is do you can download Ultra Iso to open CD images - Go to and download one of the CD images and then download one of the cracks/serials/unlockers/keygens - Download the files and then open them. if you have installed vuze then vuze should open automatically and the downloads should start - After they have finished double click on the disc image for Call Of Duty( The 6 gig one) and if you have installed ultra iso then the application should open automatically. Click on tools and then mount to virtual drive and then select the Call of duty file and click on mount. Go to computer and then click on the emulated Call of duty disc and then install it(You may want to create a copy of the disc for future use). - Follow the keygen/crack/unlocker/serial instructions on how to use them to allow you to play the game Good Luck hope this was helpful

Medeival total war 2 ''please insert the correct DVD-ROM?''

You need to do a complete uninstall since most uninstall programs leave lots of junk behind and fool the computer into "thinking" that the software is still installed.. See if manufacturer has software available (EX - Norton has sit) that does a complete uninstall. If not you will have to get brave and to into the registry using regedit to remove all vestiges of the program and then reinstall it. Good luck.
Or try a system restore point that was generated BEFORE the date of your original install of the program!

Dawn of war help?

you need to get rid of the registry entry this is why it wont function
goto search engine and search for regvac its free registry cleaner
first though uninstall game if you cant, just delete all files and folders pertaining to game. use regvac in novice mode clean registry and then reinstall. there may just be some old modded info in /programs/game folder that are not being overwritten by fresh install.
by removing and cleaning registry you basically make your pc think the game has never been installed and starts fresh.
