For best picture, you need to set your PC resolution to 1280 x 1024 @60Hz which is the native rsolution for this monitor. The Factory reset should be in the on screen menu setup.

Unless there is the problem inside the monitor.

Computer monitor has blurry display

If you have another PC in the house, try plugging in your monitor to that PC instead, and see if the issue follow the monitor. If it does, you could do a Factory Reset on your monitor to see if the issue is fixed. You can do this by Hitting Menu button on your Monitor and finding the Factory reset Option. IF the issue is not fixed, you will most likely need a new monitor, you can easily find one online or at a local store for under 100 dollars.

I have a dell dimesion 3000 with a moniter that came with it from dell. a little while ago my nephew was messing with the moniter and made it really blurry. is there any way i can fix this?

There should be a menu button, and once in the menu, I believe there should be a Factory Reset Setting that you can choose and it should clear it up. If that does not work, the monitor could possibly be damaged and the blurry screen is the result. Good luck. Thanks. -Sa_Les_Ski

My monotor its all black but u can

This should be an (LCD) screen. They are the ones that usually have this kind of problem. You will need to take it to have it checked if the problem is the VGA signal cable leading to the monitor. They will check if it is properly connected or has gone bad. It is very unlikely that the screen is bad. When this VGA signal cable goes bad it could result in a totally blank screen.

Blurry pictures

When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Also try to reset the camera back to factory defaults as there could be a setting that is causing the images to be blurry. To reset the camera - have the camera in shooting mode - go to Menu - left arrow to reset and press ok. Highlight yes and press ok. This will reset the camera back to factory settings. See if this clears up the blurry images.

How can I make fonts look good in an LCD monitor ?

The VGA connection should be fine; I have DVI and when I switched from analog, the difference was pretty minimal, to my eyes.

Is it just the fonts that are blurry, or everything? If fonts only, then this almost certainly suggests that running the ClearType tuner again would solve the problem. But this applies to all displays, so if one is good and the other is not, then this isn't it.

If everything is a little blurry, then this suggests one of two problems -- the first, you report trying, which is that the display adapter is set to a different resolution than the native resolution of the LCD monitor itself. Your display adapter should probably be able to drive 2 monitors (the built-in laptop monitor and the external monitor) at once. You should be able to set their resolutions separately.

Assuming Windows XP: Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings > at which point, you should see two monitors listed in a dropdown. Set them to their native resolutions there (using the slider bar, usually all the way to the right), and save.

If you do have the display resolutions set to their native resolutions for both monitors, then it's possible that your external monitor is messed up. A quick test would be to run the on-screen settings, usually from a button on the monitor itself. If what is displayed there is sharp and what is displayed from Windows is not, then this points to a problem with the display driver. If everything, even the on-screen display is blurry, then perhaps the monitor settings are messed up -- usually there's an option to restore to factory settings -- try that.

If that doesn't work, I'm probably out of ideas, unless you have further information.

Dell UltraScan P1110 flat-screen monitor BLURRY?

The button you pressed is the reset button and according to the documentaton "returns the monitor to factory defaults".

Here's a link to the Dell support page for your monitor:

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/p1110/En/index.htm

Regarding the lines that were orginally were trying to fix; see Damper Wires in Troubleshooting in the above documentation and you'll see that they're a fact of life with this type of monitor. I realize this may not have been your problem, but then again...

I'm surprised that the factory reset made things blurry. Usually this is the result of less than optimum settings on the display adapter in your computer rather than the monitor itself. The Trouble Shooting guide says the brightness and contrast being set too high can cause this so that may be worth checking.

I think you should check your display adapter settings after you try the Troubleshooting suggestions. On the desktop of your computer right click in an empty spot and select Properties. Click on the Settings tab and see what the resolution is. If it's not 1280x1024 you might want to try that. Everything on the screen may suddenly appear smaller so don't be surprised. I would also check the monitor frequency. This will probably be found under Advanced. Every display adapter is different so I can't tell you exactly where to look, just polk around. If you start changing things you may want to write down the original settings so you can at least get back to where you started if there's a problem.

Lastly, I want you to know I'm not paid to provide these suggestions. I know it's a strange hobby, but I like helping when I can. If you find this helpful I hope you'll take a moment and provide a positive rating. About half of the solutions I've posted have never been rated... Thanks and good luck.
