Question about Dayton Vacuums
The motor should be similar to the ones below.
The motor class specifications are described in 4211-01.
The general wiring diagram is typed on top of the motor.
Red and black are the connections to start.If there are blue and yellow wires, this are the connections to run. Normally blue and black and yellow and red go to the same poles.Wiring is much different depending if motor is reversable or not. As you can see below, there are many different wiring. This motors may not follow NEMA standard. Without more info I am unable to provide precise wiring info.
To get more info you should include the list of wires and colors, and possibly a picture with the sticker (or a description of diagram on sticker).Also let me know if motor can be reversed, and if the motor is for a specific use.
