Open your airport utility (Applications/Utilities/Airport Utility). See if anything comes up on the left. If not, reset your airport and network.
Also, in System Preferences, click Network. See what it shows for airport, and delete your current network, and set up a new one. Do you have bars on your airport on the tool bar?

Wireless router configuration

If you don't already have a wireless network, you can use an AirPort base station to create one. To configure an AirPort base station, you connect the Ethernet connection to the WAN port on the base station. In turn, the base station creates a Wi-Fi (wireless) connection to the Internet. Consult the documentation for your AirPort base station for more information on how to set up your wireless connection. Once you have a Wi-Fi network available, use these steps to tell your Mac to join it:
  1. Click the Wi-Fi menu icon airport_symbol.png and select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
  2. If prompted, enter the password for your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Check "Remember this network" to have your Mac automatically join your home network.

Message says offline how do I connect to internet via wifi

1.Click on the Apple button, which opens the main menu. Select "Network" and then press "Configure" on the network page. Check the box next to "Show AirPort status in menu bar" and now click the Airport icon, which looks like a signal. Note that if you already have airport enabled, you can skip this step.
2.
Choose a network from the list that pops up after you click the Airport icon. You will see all the wireless networks in range of your computer, including wireless Internet networks. If the network has a password (closed network), a box will pop up asking you to type in the password. Click "OK" and you should connect to the network right away.
3.Go to the folder that contains the hard drives and you will see a folder that is called "Network Folders" and it will contain all the shared folders on the network. To share your folders, go to "System Preferences" and select the "Sharing" button. Put a check in the "File Sharing" box and then click the "+" sign to choose the folders you are going to add. Once you have selected all the folders that you wish to share, click the "+" button next to "Users" and select the users you wish to share the file with, or select all of them. Select the arrow on the top left corner of the screen to apply the changes.

Just bought new air...cant get connected to th internet...can ya help?

You will need to make sure your wireless card is turned on.
Click on the Apple logo in the top left and select System Preferences. Select the Network icon. In the left-hand column, select AirPort. Make sure the status says "On," if it doesn't, click Turn Airport On.
Select your wireless network from the "Network Name" drop down menu. You may need to enter a password if you have one set up. Your Mac should now be connected to the internet.
This assumes you have a working wireless network set up already.

Macbook and wireless n setup how do you set it up????!!!!!

Can you clarify the problem for me:

1. Mac Type = Macbook
2. Operating System = Mac OS ?
3. What are you trying to connect to?

For example are you trying to set up a Wireless Home network, meaning that iPhones, iPods or other macs can share the one Internet Connection. This is called a Computer-to-Computer Network.

OR are you trying to configure a Wireless Modem to work with your MacBook?

Setting up a Computer-to-Computer Network is done by:

1. Select System Preferences from the Apple Menu.
2. Select Network from the Internet & Wireless section.
3. Select Airport from the list of devices.
4. Click the Turn Airport On button, located next to Status. NOTE: If it is already turned on then this button will read Turn Airport Off.
5. Select Create Network from the drop down menu adjacent Network Name.
6. Type in the preferred name that you wish to call your network in the Name field. (ie., MacBookHomeNetwork or something)
7. Select the Channel (Channel 11) is an OK one to select.
8. Choose whether you want the user to type in a password to gain access to your network. (This is recommended.) If you do, then click the check box beside Require Password.
8.1 Type in the Password into the Password field.
8.2 Type the Password again into the Verify field.
8.3 Select the type of encryption you want to use, 40bit or 128bit.
9. Click the Show Airport status in Menu Bar check box.

NOTE: If you require advanced settings, then click the Advanced ... button.

10. Apply and then go back to the System Preferences window (using the Left Arrow located top/left of window). If you get stuck, get back using Instruction No.1 above.)
11. Click the Sharing Icon in the Internet & Wireless section.
12. Select from the list each item you wish to share (i.e, File, Printer, Bluetooth, Internet, DVD or CD etc...).

NOW : From your other device, you need to locate the new Wireless Network Connection.

If it is an iPhone or iPod then go to the Settings menu and select Wi-Fi from the list. The new network should be picked up automatically. Log in to it (if you set up passwords).

I hope this helps. Regards,

Xbox 360 wireless adapter not finding network

Hello Sir,

Reset your AX by holding a pin or pen tip and count to 20.
Plug Airport Express
Wait a few minutes

1. Open Airport Utility
2. Manual Setup
3. Airport Icon -> Wireless Mode -> Join a wireless network
4. Network Name -> Enter the SSID of your Linksys router
5. Choose the same wireless security that you are using on your Linksys Router
6. Wireless Password -> Enter the wireless key that is on your Linksys router.

In the Music Icon, you should be able to find "Enable iTunes"

AX will continue to blink for a bit, perhaps a minute, while it searches and connects to the Linksys Router.

Should turn green.

Good luck.

To join an AirPort network:
1.
Choose Apple > System Preferences, and then click Network.
2.
Click AirPort in the network connection services list and choose a wireless network from the Network Name pop-up menu. Enter the password for the network if necessary.
If the network you expected is not in the list, it may be a “closed” network and not be available in the list. Try clicking Other, and then enter the network name and password if necessary.
If AirPort isn’t in the list, click Add (+) at the bottom of the list, choose AirPort from the Interface pop-up menu, give the AirPort service a name, and then click Create.
