The power plug should go into the cradle first, before the device.. it sits just underneath in the plastic clip. once you slide the s-series unit down it clicks into the power cable aswell as the cradle and it sould all stay in place. It's designed so you can lift it up and out without unplugging the power.

My navman tracker 5605 stopped dead. It powers up on the neighbour's boat and I have 13 volts running to and through the fuse. So I assume it is the cable. I have not split the cable open because the break...

Connect an automotive 12V lamp to the end of the cable to be shure the cable is faulty ,the voltmeter draws very low current and can be misleading ,a lamp
is better as it draws more current and will detect bad contacts, connect then the voltmeter to the lamp to check the voltage.
If bad cable is confirmed ,contact Navman dealer in Brazil to check if they have the cable.

I wondered how you charge the navman s 100

According to page 3 of the s series manual, "use the home charger model MII050100 supplied by navman as an accessory (may be sold separately)

Page 10 gives more details - simply plug in the home adapter, car adapter, or usb cable from your pc into the usb socket on your unit. Computer must be turned on.

When I try to update my navman It says I'm not connected and I am?

Hi - yes it probably is a driver thing. Navman's install software apparently doesn't install the Windows driver - you have to do it manually.

I just found this how-to page on Navman's website, and it worked for me:

Good luck
