Put brand new lexmark 28 cartridge just 4 days ago. Maybe used 10 times. Computer says ink is low and won't print anymore. However, can still make copies.

It could be just a slight communication failure between your cartridges and the printer. Try to re-seat the cartridges by removing and re-inserting them into the cartridge carrier.
I hope this helps.

Canon printer won't recognize new ink cartridge

did you take the shipping tape off of the cartridge? It's usually the one covering the contacts located on the underside of the Cartridge that is inserted into the receiver of the cartridge. Other wise, you may have a bad cartridge, if so, bring it back to where you purchased it and get another one. Chris [email protected]

Printer wont acknowledge ink loading

Make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Refilled cartridges won't be able to register ink levels. If you are using original supplies, it could be just a slight cartridge communication error. Try the steps below:
  1. Make sure the printer is on. Open the printer cover.
  2. The carrier should move to its loading position. Open the latch and remove the cartridges.
  3. Close the latch.
  4. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-insert after 10 seconds.
  5. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges. Close the printer cover.
  6. Check on your computer if ink level is acknowledged.
  7. Try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Just changed ink cartridges and unable to use printer. Keeps stating printhead missing or has come loose but it isn't. Before this happened, wouldn't print the black ink after I'd installed...

Hello

Your printhead is bad and you should have it replaced. This should cost you about $56 if you are in the US

Also you should reolace all the waste ink absorbers, reset the counter to zero and re-insert the ink cartridges.

To replace the ink cartridges

1. Hit the "menu": Key
2. Hit "Copy" Key
3. Hit "#" Key
4. Scroll thru the menu headings until you come to "Test Mode" - 12th heading
5. Hit the "3" button- this will bring up Eprom Clear
6. Hit "0" button
7. Hit the "Stop" button

I changed my ink but it wont let me print it keeps saying i need to change my ink why?

What is the version of your ink cartridge? It could be that it's not seated properly in the cartridge carrier. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet in the wall to reset it. When the printer turns on, open the printer cover and reinsert one cartridge first. Close the cover. If no error, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. You could also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

My printer says ink absorber full is there anyway to reset counter

When you insert a refilled ink cartridge into your printer you should get a warning about the refilled cartridge. You should also be prompted, asking if you wish to disable ink level detecting. Agree to do so, and you won't get the warnings again because the ink levels won't be monitored by the printer.

How do i change my lexmark x4650 print cartrige?

Installing/Replacing your ink cartridges:
1. Open the printer, and then press down on the cartridge carrier levers. printmastert_52.jpg

2. Remove the used print cartridge or cartridges. 3. If you are installing new print cartridges, remove the tape from the back and bottom of the color cartridge, insert the cartridge in the right carrier, and then close the color cartridge carrier lid. 4. If a black cartridge is included in the box contents, remove the tape from the back and bottom of the black cartridge, insert the cartridge in the left carrier, and then close the black cartridge carrier lid. 5. Close the printer.

Sometimes the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:

1. Unplug the printer from the power source.

2. With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to the center of the printer.

3. Remove the used cartridges.

4. Load the new cartridges. Close the cover.

5. Plug the printer back to the power source.

Do not know how to change ink cartridge x2650

Lift the scanner unit, and then press down on the cartridge carrier latch to raise the cartridge carrier lid. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy.

MP140 can't recognise the black cartridge that I've just installed. Error code 4 - any ideas? I've tried the manual - nothing, and not much luck online - Thanks

Error code 4 normally indicates that there is no unk, and the solution is by installing a genuine cartridge, Try to use Black PG40 remanufactured Canon printer ink cartridge. This cartridge is a high capacity cartridge which has been filled with 23ml of ink compared with the 16ml (Black) that you get with the originals. Compatible with: Canon Pixma MP140. if this error still occur it is better that you try the following procedure below:-

When you insert a refilled ink cartridge into your Pixma MP140 printer you should get a warning about the refilled cartridge. You should also be prompted, asking if you wish to disable ink level detecting. Agree to do so, and you won’t get the warnings again because the ink levels won’t be monitored by the printer.

Thanks
