Hi,

For less money you could repair the sub yourself if it's something you're interested in doing. First off, does the amp come on and there is simply no sound, or is there no power to the amp at all? If there amp powers up, and there is no sound, try removing the woofer and put a multi-meter on the woofer's main leads. If the reading is between 4-8 ohms- then the speaker is likely fine. Push down on the cone gently in the center and listen for any scraping sounds. If it scrapes then the woofer has a scraping voice coil and would need to be replaced.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I AM LOOKING FOR A REMOTE YAMAHA SOUNDBAR YSP-1100

The replacement remote is available at Amazon.com and probably other vendors of replacement remote controls. The replacement original remote at Amazon is here: https://www.amazon.com/OEM-Yamaha-Remote-Control-YSP-1100SL/dp/B0166DUFAE . If you need the information to program this remote for other devices, see the manual. The manual is available from Yamaha at the product support page: http://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio-visual/digital-sound-projector/ysp-1100_black__u/ . The direct link to the manual is currentlyhttp://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=8872 .

I hope this helps.

How to change voltage from American standard 120 V to European 220V

This is for a powered speaker? You'll need an "autotransformer" or "step-down transformer" with a 240VAC primary winding and a 120VAC secondary winding. If you try to just use a plug adapter and power that speaker from 240V, you'll destroy it immediately.

I get a loud static noise, when I first turn on the yamaha ysp-1. Lasts a few seconds. Have unplugged all inputs. Problem persists.

u have a cool sound projector but u have a baaaad power supply system. bad power supply design - u will get all sorts of noise when u power it up. i have a sub woofer with the same problem(which in my case is the way it is designed). i used a delay circuit. but in ur case i know YSP-1 has a clean start up. so, if the warranty still covers it get it replaced. static noises, pop noises are often caused by bad capacitors.

Connecting an iPod to Yamaha YSP-1000

The best way to get quality sound would be to go through the USB connection of the phone.

It will be hard and a bit costly to get a cable to link the Ipod and projector.

Easiet and economical way is to go to apple and purchase a cable for the jaudio jack at the top of the Ipod that will also have an audio jack connector for the projector

Power Subwoofer doesn't work

Two possibilities:
1. Your source material does not contain bass frequencies.
2. Your SUBWOOFER SET - BASS OUT is set to Front, rather than SWFR (subwoofer). See page 63 of the manual.
