I can not get the photos off of my camera onto my computer. I plug it in but no photos show up even though they show up on the camera itself.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

Stoplight shows even though all pics have been downloaded

Do you happen to be on a Mac when you downloaded the photos? If so, make sure to empty the trash (while still having the camera plugged in) after you delete them.

I am trying to upload photos onto my computer from my camera, but when I open the program it shows that I have no photos. When I turn on my camera to view to pictures, they are all there. How can I get the...

Often in the cameras Setup menu there is an option to be set that makes the camera behave in one of two ways when it is plugged into the computer.

The setting is usually called USB:
The options are, "Disk Drive" and "Camera".

Disk Drive is what you want, so the camera behaves like a flash disk and shares your pictures with the computer when it is plugged in.

Camera mode, will make your camera behave like a web cam attached to your computer.

Finding this setting will requre the correct Mode the camera is in, (probably Review), and the correct menu, often there are different tabs for camera settings and picture taking settings.

Hope this helps.

Finepix J12 cannot upload photos onto computer.

Here's the best solution. Get a card reader for your card (available at Walmart, Kmart, Best Buy, etc.) and use it to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Once there, you can do anything you like with them.

2 GB SD card photos show on camera but won't transfer onto comput

Most cameras have a USB port (a really small one) located on there somewhere. The camera should have come with a cable included to connect it to the computer. Once you connect it to the computer, turn the camera to "review mode" (where you look at your pictures on the camera itself) and it should link up with the computer. If you have a windows computer, sometimes it will even walk you through it on the computer.

If something doesn't seem right with this solution or I didn't explain part of this properly please don't hesitate to update your question, please include a model number for the camera and I will do my best to help out again.

Canon A460; Downloading pics to computer

I have the exact same camera and all I did to put my photos on the computer was plug my camera into the computer using the USB cable provided. A wizard window should pop up and click on import photos. If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what to do. I have windows Vista, by the way.
