Question about Dell Inspiron 1100 Notebook
Reverse the rebuild and make sure you have made all the connections. If you don't see the BIOS startup on the screen and there is no sound from the hard drive you may have knocked off a component. With the bezel off the screen take a look and see if you can see the backlight on the screen glowing.
If all these fail you may have a power fault. Try disconnecting all external peripherals like mouse or flash drive and remove the hard drive and CD drive then try powering up. If the BIOS screen is shown then it is probably just a poor connection so make sure all the internal connections are pushed hard in and for the flexi make sure the locks are pushed back into the connectors.
