Question about Car Audio & Video

Open Question

Cd won't eject from car cd player. I think there could be 2 cds in there. Any ideas? Obviously if that is the case the mechanism won't lift high enough. I need to assist the cd out.

SOURCE: Car 6 cd changer

I have a similar problem. My player just doesnt play anything anymore. I was not even able to eject or load any CDs. I brought it to a radio shop, and the guy was not able to fix it. He removed all the CD's and suggested me to buy a new one. I found on internet repair service Automotive Radio and Changers Repair Services :: 6 CD Changer Error Fixing and they fixed it for 199+shipping... Don't even try to repair it youself.

The only way to do it is to remove the radio using DIN radio removal tool - then you will have easy acces to remove cd's if you do not have this tools try to use coat hanger (do small catss on the ends)
(you can try to hold eject button and swich off - swich on button - probably it will not work but try few times

Good luck,

SOURCE: My cds are stuck in the player. They won't play or

Hi Texasgirl826,
There is nothing I can tell you to do that won`t damage the player.

I have one sugestion, go to a shop that installs car stereo, don`t go into the store, go to the bay where the workshop is and ask one of the installers real nice like if he could take it out for you, I`m sure he would.
It is a bit tricky to do it, but it can be done, without having to remove the deck and taking it apart.
Good luck.

My cd won't play. It just ejects and has an err code.

If youre getting an error code and All cd's are being ejected than your CD mechanism " loader" is bad. You can contact United Radio in Syracuse, NY if you think its worth fixing, if its only certsin discs and Radio plays radio stations ok then it may be CDs that are not in MP3 format which will not play in your radio. I have a 2001 Honda Crv, the cd player keeps ejecting CDs before it has the chance to load them. The radio works fine, and I gave tried burnt and original disc CDs. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Are these CDs that you burned yourself? Older CD players won't recognize the audio file format of this kind of recording, only the established file format that typical retail CDs have used for years. In recent years, CD players have been developed to recognize more file types than just the old format; but with an older player like you have in your car, it wouldn't recognize what you were trying to play, as if you put a DVD in. It balks, and spits it out. You can burn CDs with the correct file format, you just need the appropriate software or file translator.

maybe the defect is the tray or mechanism.not to eject the cd. you need a technician to fix your problem.

Have a look for a small hole in the front of the CD player - this is the emergency eject button. Find a paper clip, unwind it and then press the paper clip through the hole - the CD should then eject the first CD and you will then be able to eject the others.

I've had this happen before with car stereo's uh i just normally unscrew the screws out of the top of the player to where you can get to the tray or slot for the cds and force the cd tray or the cd itself out but be careful and not break the cd this might work it usually does for me
